Bottled. Deep ambery brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, mild dark fruits as well as some toffee. Flavour is quite much the same in a pleasant balance.

Bottled. Clear nut brown, faint head. Roasty spicy nose. Dryish, medium bodied, clean rounded mouthfeel. Mildly buttery and fruity, marked roastiness. Some spicy bitterness.

(bottle) Clear, chestnut colour with a medium-sized and tanned foamy head. Sweet and nutty caramel-malty aroma with a shy touch herbal hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Nutty and cara-malty taste with shy herbal accents; moderately dry, a bit slim and mildly bitter finish. Rich red, brief head. Rich and grainy, but there’s DMS in the aroma. Crisp carbonation. Taste quite plant-matter-ey Palate a little thin. Some milkiness. Pretty drinkable dark vollbier, but uninspiring.

Brown coloured, no carbonation and an average off-white head. Light sweet malty nose. Medium, light wattery hinted palate. Finish is light sweet-bitter with a slightly malty hinted ending. Rather light bodied dunkel.

Bottle. A clear, copper beer with a big, coarse, white head. Grainy nose with caramel and a vague hint of cardboard. Weak flavor with grains and caramel. Very low on bittering hops. Medium body. Short finish with not much going on. A decent beer, at least not foul, but it’s dead boring. Easy to drink. (081227)

Pretty sweet malty aroma. Flavor is light and malty with a light hop finish. Nice German beer.

dallmayr in munich is famous for coffe and all kinds of delicasies. copper colour, small head, vanishing fast. starts roasty then gets more and more bitter by the hops. som caramel. the whole taste ends fast. seems you just pay your 2,50 euro just for the name and not for the content. for white truffes, gooseliver and dom perignon doublemagnum dallmayr semms ok - for beer definitively not.

Amber with a quite quickly disappearing offwhite head. Malty aroma, a bit rasted, vegetable notes. Malty flavor with too much alcohol in the finish. Chocolate notes, some bitterness. Not the best beer, but still its good enough to make the brewer brave enough to be official... I mean, what´s the point of making a beer and not stand for it?
