Note: It’s a beer, but....well, not really. It’s almost like a shandy but still not quite. Whatever it is, it sure hits the spot while taking a lovely stroll in Parc Guel. I guess sometimes the memories we associate a beer with affect the taste buds, no?

Hazy pale yellow body with a short-lived fizzy white head that leaves some lacing. The aroma is clean, nice and refreshing, but very simple: it’s massive lemonade and faint malt. The taste is moderate sweet and light acidic with absolutely no bitterness. The finish is non-existent. Flavours of lemon and lime with malty hints. No off-flavours, everything is masked by the lemonade. Decent mouthfeel. An ok shandy, and a far better drink than e.g. the Estrella Damm.

Bottle. Pale golden-yellow-green colour with a white head. Aroma is lemon, malt. Flavour is lemon , malt. Very boring beer.

Flaske 0,33l Rema 100, K1 - Tromsø. Guloransj. Uklar. Ser ut som saft. Eneste forskjell er at det faktisk er et høyt luftig skum som varer en stund. Aroma av sitron. Smaken ditto men med en undertone av malt. Blir attpåtil for søt til å kunne fungere som tørsteslukker.

330ml green bottle bought at Eide Handel. Foggy, pale yellow body. Dissipating, white head. Lemony nose. Sticky sweet lemonade-accented flavour. Vague hints of diluted pale malts. Lively carbonated. Way too sweet, even for a decent soft drink. No way, damned lemon (Tromsø, 18.02.2012).

Sample from a 33cl can. Pale golden beer with an easy formation of white but mostly diminishing head. Aroma has lemon and lime traces. Flavour is mild lemon and moderate bittery in the final. Carbonation is medium. Body is low.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2012 Agree with Mr Palme beneath me....beer? Alcopop more likely. Bottle. Hazy greenyellow colour. Massive lemon nose. Deep lemon/lime flavour. Abolutely ok on a hot summer day but..... Rated it as a summerbreezer - not a beer

0.33l bottle. Yeah, is this a beer? Well, it’s on Ratebeer so it’s ratable. It pours a cloudy milky-yellow body with a big and lasting white head that’s lacing down the glass. The aroma has lots and lots of both grapefruit juice and zest, some lime, lemon and it’s also a sweet tone here. Not bad for a drink perhaps, but a beer? On Ratebeer? Hmm.. Average to soft carbonation level and a watery mouthfeel. Flavors can actually remind a bit of a beer, and it’s definitely not as grapy and sweet as the aroma suggested. It has a wheaty base and there has been added some amounts of thin and artificial lemon. What to say.. Strange stuff. Not for me.

Bottle from ICA Maaseskjæret, Bergen. Pours a milky white straw-hued hazy body with a small creamy head. Nose is artificial lemon, molasses and hints of lime. Taste is more of that artificial lemon thing, broken by hints of pale malts, sugar and vague grassy hop-like notes. All in all, this is a "beer" characterized by its "-ishness", never holding much substance. It is not, however, foul tasting and I suspect it will work as an alternative to soda when it’s hot, so I’ll save it from the depths of the score pit.

Distinct smell of lemons, with a hint of bad cerveza. Rice and corn in the beer make a rather unpleasant appearance in the aroma. Most of it tasted like lemon soda though, but the bad taste of the beer is there anyway. I guess they didn’t bother making a good beer when they were going to blend away the character anyway. The lemon extract tastes very good though. Funny how you drink a beer, and all you want to have afterwards is a glass of non-ruined lemon soda...
