On tap at NHBF, ABV 8%. Hazy dark brown colour, off white head. Aroma of roasted malts, alcohol, burnt sugar, sweet, hint of coffee, liquorice. Flavour is light sweet, roasted malts, fruity, flowery, hard roasted bitter finish. Light to medium bodied.

Pleasant strawberry preserve taste. Not bitter at all. Nice and creamy. Good beer to start the Purmerend bierfestival.

Bottled. A dark red beer with a rim of off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and alcohol, as well as lighter notes of straw, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle. Tasted blind @ yespr. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty grainy spicy aroma. Fruity malty spicy bitter toffee and caramel flavor with hints of vanilla. Has a fruity malty grainy caramel finish.

Light unclear medium amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, earth, light roasted, chocolate notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110219]

75 cL bottle, courtesy of fonefan. Pours hazy dark brown with a small to fully gone head. Aroma is roasted malty, light fruity to yeasty. Sweet malty, light caramelish and mild yeasty fruity. Good bitterness to counterbalance. Ends bitter and roasted malty into the finish.
