From the barrel at the Pigs Ear Beer Festival, London on 6 December 2006. Orangey colour. Fairly funky aroma but there’s some sweet fruit too. Moderately tannic and woody on the palate with some pleasant whisky accents that complement but do not dominate. Firm finish. Very decent.

Draught@Pigs Ear BF 06. Quite acdidc, with some lambic-esque qualities. whiskey notes come through aswell, slightly iodiney. Some slight sweet and tart apple notes come through. Interesting, but doesn’t quite work.

From barrel Pigs Ear BF. Hazy orange gold colour. Really cheesy whisky aroma, sharp apple. Whisky flavour throughout, and very dry. Nicely balanced.

From the barrel. Pigs Ear BF. A hazy orangey green, still looking cider. The aroma is spritzy, boozy apple with a hint of whisky. The taste is very dty with lots of tannin. Not much coming through from the whisky cask, just a ton of dryness.
