From the streets of Brooklyn to the beaches of Tel Aviv, this is the bad-assesed JUBOY you ever gonna meet. A pale ale brewed with juniper berries and date honey to a head-rocking 9% abv. Goes equally well with fish, steak, learning Talmud and laying down artillery cover. So next time some street punk yells Hey – Ju Boy!, you can smile and say – Sure, Thanks! Just don’t forget to call your mother.

Tap sample at the brewery. Murky deep yellow color with a small white head. Ripe fruit nose, some juniper, sweet honey and malt and grassy hops. Sweet flavors, dominant juniper, low bitterness, some guava and peach. Med-full bod, alcohol well hidden, little oily and a bit cloying but interesting.

Draught at the brewery. Cloudy orange-amber color with a nice creamy off-white head. Aroma of floral hops, a bit of juniper, some grainy notes, some malt and cookie notes. As the beer warms up the juniper takes over the hops and become very dominant in the aroma. Flavor has sweet thick maltiness (from which I guessed correctly the beer was iced) honey-ish and caramelly notes, some juniper spiciness and bitter finish, hoppy and spicy with a bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied, oily mouthfeel. A bit weird. There’s something a bit off-putting about this beer that I can’t put my finger on (surprisingly, it’s not the juniper).

Draught at the brewpub. Pours murky amber with a frothy white head. Smells grassy, with sweet date honey aroma. Tastes malty and grassy with green berries and date honey sweetness. Full body, chewy texture, bready finish with fizz. Interesting.
