COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Pale Ale on speed. Deep gold color like a sunset over Jerusalem. More malt, more hops and of course, more date honey. Dry-hopped with American Cascade hops (in case you missed the first 3 hoppings) this beer has an incredibly complex aroma of grapefruit, raisins, nuts and honey-toasted malt.

Cloudy dull amber. Thick head. Minty and buttery, a strong combination that might be more compelling than it needs to be. Taste like mint and diacetyl, too. Decent bitterness. Strange, strange stuff.

Draught at Dancing Camel Florentene. Cloudy amber with minimal head. Sweet, honey date aroma, tastes sweet and full, then mildly bitter. Full body, well carbonated, sweetish round finish.

Minimal head, reddish brown and cloudy color, surprisingly little aroma for an IPA with malt notes coming through more than hops. Good hop taste though, not overwhelming as with some IPAs, and the date honey definitely adds something. 7.2% ABV is a little high for an IPA IMHO, but otherwise it’s a nice beer with plenty of hops but not too bitter.

Draft @ brewpub. Hazy red with scattered lacing. Aroma of popcorn butter, candied peppermint, and strawberry. Flavors are similarly wonky. The palate is soft and buttery with a load of diacetyl. Basil, strawberry, butter, strawberry leaves. It dries out in the finish and leaves a minty aftertaste. It’s very interesting how it is actually drinkable and works in a warped way. Still, I could not drink a lot of it.

Etwas holziger Geruch. Naja.. Vielen Dank an Barak für das Bier! 33cl Bottle from DSG, shared with Nate2g, thanks Barak! Hazy amber colour, off white head. Aroma of leafy hops, bit like veggies, sweet ripe fruits like melon, sugar. Flavour is sweet, malty, fruity, grassy hop, sugary, it’s a bit crude, not very refined, slightly alcoholic. Medium bodied.

Bottle sample thanks to Jared. Very deep transparent gold, with a small wisp of eggshell head. Nose of citrus, caramel, candy, and a bit of roasted nuts. Sweet with caramel malts, has balancing citric bitterness, with a slight hit of metallic/oxidized notes, but that does not really detract. Medium bodied, no hint of the ABV. Citric, astringent finish. Good stuff. Thanks Jared!

Bottled. An amber beer with an orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel as well as light notes of hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, straw, and spicy hops - I think Cascade, leading to a dry bitter finish. Thank omhper for sharing.

Was surprised to see that some americans started a microbrewery in Israel. Their beers are pretty good. This was the first one I tried and was pleasantly surprised. It had both a good hop and malt character. It has a deep gold color like a sunset over Jerusalem. Date honey gives it a nice balance. Dry-hopped with American Cascade hops this beer has an incredibly complex aroma of grapefruit, raisins, nuts and honey-toasted malt. If you are ever in Israel definately give their beers a try. 330ml bottle (Israel) - gift from Atal at work - thanks!
Rioch malty aroma, quite treacly in places. Pleasant cartbonation, slick in the mouth, but alas some gluey acetone retronasals. Slightly stodgy sweet malty body. Hops quite restrained in comparison. Finish bitter and yeasty, a touch indistinct, but long finish carries some lovely noble hops for a longer time. Something Czech/German and maybe something English in there, perhaps? Not a patch on the American PA, but still a tasty brew. Covers the alcohol well, but trading that for acetone was not an improvement.
