COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The number to dial for Dancing Camel 613 – Pomegranate Ale. Brewed once a year for, you guessed it – Rosh Hashana. The 613-5769 (613 for the number of seeds in a pomegranate, 5769 for the Jewish year), is a light, refreshing wheat beer with a delightful smack of pomegranate tartness – the perfect companion to apples, honey, leeks, beets and fishheads. Whether pounding it down over Simchat Torah, or quenching that 25 hour Yom Kippur thirst, Dancing Camel 613 is full of all the goodness you need for the New Year. DANCING CAMEL 613-5769, 6.13% ABV (of course!)

UPDATED: APR 11, 2010 Re-rate 3/25/10: Draught at the Dancing Camel 4th pre-pesach keg party. This is actually a rating for the 5770 version, but I think the recipe stayed the same this time. Clear pale golden with a weird rocky white head. Aroma has some wheat, spiciness and light pomegranate hints. Sweetish flavor with wheat, fruits and nice pomegranate tartness. Medium-bodied. Pretty tasty. 6/3/7/3/14=3.3

Draught at the brewery. Hazy deep golden color with a small white head. Fruity aroma with some yeast, light wheaty notes, light spice and hints of pomegranate. Sweetish-sourish fruity flavor, with apparent pomegranate presence, but I wouldn’t say it’s dominant. Also a rather strong spicy yeasty tone and light alcohol. A dry pomegranate finish. Medium-bodied. Decent but not great in my opinion. The spiciness gets a bit more balanced as the beer warms up a bit. 6/3/6/3/13=3.1

Hazy tan. Thin head. The aroma is mostly wheat and coriander, with only light pomegranate. Much more fruit taste, not entirely congruent with the wit, but ok beer nonetheless.

Pours pale yellow with a nice white head, aroma of apples, banana and citrus, flavor of wheat, pomegranate acidity, apples and lemon, medium to light body. OK

UPDATED: APR 15, 2011 2010 version, Draught at the brewery, hazy very light orange colour, fruity aroma with some spice, dominant sourness but with a sweetish touch balancing it and making the beer extremely drinkable. Quite suprising, we certainly need more of this kind for the israeli summer. Original rating - Draught at the brewery. Small head, a touch hazy light orange colour, strong carbonation. Aroma of wheat with some yeast and spicy notes, mainly nutmeg. The flavour is dominated by a lively fruity pomegranate sour taste with a touch of sweetness and a lot of mixed spices. The lively sourness lasts forever becoming citrusy. A nice refreshing light bodied beer with the pomegrantae integrated beautifully. (7/28/3/14)
