4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On draft at brewery. 11/2/13. Aroma is chocolate, hazelnut, vanilla. Appearance is jet black, tan head, very little, almost no lacing. Chocolate is present but not dominant, slight sweetness from lactose. Hits palate nicely, balanced flavors. Velvety without being thick. Overall very nicely done. Top 5 chocolate stout. Now make more of it so I can get a growler.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
First true milk stout I have had. Very smooth chocolate notes. The malt is very much helped by the lactose sugars. It really makes an incredible beer.

On tap at Dangerous Man. Big chocolate, vanilla and some lactose/milk sugar. Nice black pour with a thin khaki head. Taste is a lot of cocoa, vanilla and chocolate, almost get a mudslide flavor, great body and finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Minnesota Winterfest 2013. Black color with a small head. Dark chocolate aroma with a light earthy hop note. Strong lactose flavor. Bittersweet chocolate. At least moderate bitterness, which I found a bit odd for a milk stout, but it still works great.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at brewpub last night. Pours black brown with a tight khaki head that faded to a thin film. Aroma had good roasted malt and cereal with a subtle chocolate sweetness. Taste had good malt cereal and a sweetness to it with subtle vanilla and chocolate. Palate was medium with a slick dry finish. Very nice and drinkable.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pour on tap at APN 2013, dark black pour with tan head, aroma was dark chocolate, bakerís chocolate into roast, lactose, slight dark fruits and coffee in there as well, focused on the bitter chocolate. Taste was roast, coffee, and dark fruit into dark cocoa, cocoa powder, finishing fairly bitter, slight milky notes but mainly just added to the body. Tasty.

Sample at Winterfest. This sweet stout really stood out in comparison to other creamy chocolatey stouts.
