On tap. I was really surprised at how much I like this one. Stronger hop profile than expected and played well against the english and rye palate contributions.

On tap at the brewpub. Comes out looking like you’d expect: orange/amber coloring, clear, very little head. Nothing special to look at! Aroma is yeasty malts, earthy hops, and of course rye. The taste profile is the same, though it’s definitely got a sweeter and more pronounced malt flavor than I expected. This beer has a strange mouthfeel to me. The sugars make it feel almost like a soda (kind of like a Coca-Cola), but it’s not very carbonated, so I couldn’t shake the slightly flat soda vibe. Pretty decent beer but I don’t buy the hype.
