Draft at crunchy's. Amber with no head. Lots of sweet cinnamon. Really sweet and booze is well hidden.

Bottle, 200ml, from the National Museum in Copenhagen. A slightly cloudy golden colour with no head. Aroma is fragrant and floral. An intensely sweet flavour with notes of elderflower and apple. Super-sweet honey evident in the finish. Alcohol is fairly evident with a little burn. Almost syrupy texture. Rather enjoyed this but its too sweet for regular drinking!

Bottle, 70cl stoneware. A more or less clear one, amber in color, quite oily. No carbonation or head. The aroma is quite flowery, with heather honey and alcohol. Some earthy and citrusy hints. Its sweet and honey tasting with some flower and berries. Way too warming I think, full bodied and velvety on the palate. Lasting finish with some berries and herbs and quite a lot of honey and sweetness, and of course alcohol. Wouldnt mind this one with the alcohol subdued. As it is now its way, way to warming. 140331

I am obviously not a viking. This made me want to scrape my tongue with a razor blade. Id be a very angry woman if I had to drink this all the time. The best part of this drink...the color. It is a beautiful golden color that tricks you into thinking this is the best thing that will ever touch your tongue. It fooled me. Ill keep the bottle though. It looks like stone. Advertising got me again!

Oh my god. I really hoped for this to be good. Pours a clear amber with zero head. Aroma is all alcohol. I smell maybe a bit of honey, but not much. It burns in your mouth thanks to the 19% ABV. Im not impressed. Its a little oily on the tongue, but not my thing.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Tom L. Pours clear yellow, aroma of honey, spices, alcohol, flavor of honey, lots of spices and some minty tones towards the end, medium bodied

Aromas of lush honey, and flowers usher in a rewarding sensery experience. An orangish amber pour sets the stage for the taste of sumptuously smooth round honey coupled with floral notes and a suggestion of hops. This drink is pure heaven or should I say Valhala. Now I know why the Viking warriors wanted to go there.

By the Gods who made this? Billund needs to up the game a bit. What in the name of Woden are the bees feasting on here pig fat and Lego? No wonder the Vikings went marauding to the coasts of Scotland where they would found Moniack Mead.

Pours ruby-tinged orange into a snifter. Cinnamon and honey aromas. Soft with sweet hot cinammon and honey front to back.
