ok this is my first mead ever. it is sweet obviously because of the honey, but i am not getting any of the hops that were said to be in this drink. the aroma is that of alcohol with apple, honey, sugar, and grapes. the taste is sweeter then i expected, but not bad. this is new to me and may drink other styles, but this one did not turn me off to other meads. it also has a warming effect on my entire body that is very strong on the back of my neck down to my back. its great to drink what my ancestors in my family drank before me.

Bottled. Dark goldeny orange colour, no head. Aroma is lots of fruits, nectar, honey and sweet wooden notes. Also some alcohol and herbal notes. Flavour is quite much the same along with some rather woodenbarrel notes and mild spicyness also. Burning spicy and alcoholic finish. Whoa!

A Mes rate: bottle at The Cadster’s Spotify tasting.
Hmm... Danish mead. Now there’s a recipe for getting messy. Massive all round but somehow still drinkable unlike plenty of other meads. The spice gives it a good sharpness that balances it out much better than most. Faint oaky hints, massive booooooooooze. Madness in a glass.

75cl ceramic bottle at home. clear dark orange/amber no head. spritty, apricot, faint honey, spices, pepper. flavor is very strong, honey, spices, alc. stings, apricot/marzipan like sweetness, faint banana, faint citrussy note, interesting in and of itself due to the many flavors present. ends alc. burning , sweet and peppery spicy.

Bottle. Deep amber. Sweet honey and a little spice in nose. Flavour is rather sweet with some bitterness that makes it quite drinkable. Oily mouthfeel.

Bottle, bought @ Vinspecialisten, Kolding.
On the bus to ZBF. Pours clear golden with no head. Aroma has alcohol that prickles my nose, lots of sweet honey. Fat and oily mouthfeel. Sweet flavour with good darkish honey, light bitterness. Long aftertaste with a herbal touch and lots of sugary sweetness. Good, but still not really my thing.

from the bottle at plan b in copenhagen. plenty of honey, of course, but also some whiskyish woody and vanilla aromas that made me feel like i should be drinking it with ice. potent stuff
