Bottle. Amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is whiskey, malt, hop, caramel. Flavour is whiskey, vanilla, malt, hop, caramel. full body. OK beer.

Bottle sampled at omhper, thanks. Lasting light brown head. Clear dark amber color. Huge peated malt aroma. Smooth whisky taste and some caramell taste. A bit too much harsh smoke.

Bottle 330ml.

[ Trade by fiulijn ]. Clear medium to dark brown amber colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, sweet bourbon, smoke, oak, peat, vanilla notes. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, smoke - peat, oak, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120622]

Bottle from Au Grain D’Orge, Crissier
Dark brown color, with a small head. It has a nice smokey aroma, peaty. The beer flavor (some caramel) is simple, a bit sweet and dusty, with moderate smokeyness, and low bitterness. Simple.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Medium head with medium duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are lots of wood, some tar, caramel, nuts and malt.

Bottle@Ulfborg. Pours deep amber with an off-white head. Aroma of peat, smoked malt, some burnt wood , fruitiness and malt. Flavor is sweet and peated with some fruitiness, malt, wood and whisky. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Pours clear deep amber/brown with a off-white head, Aroma has notes of peat, caramel, vanilla and oak. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long peated sweet finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonaiton is soft.

Bottle. Deep amber/brown with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, peat and islay whiskey. Flavour is malt, peat, wood, medium sweet, vanilla, little smoke, caramel and a little toffee.

Bottle. A dark amber colored beer with a minimal sized off-white head. The aroma has a healthy dose of Islay whisky, leaving little room for other aromas. Some caramel and nuts though. The flavor too is a bit on the Islay side, almost like chewing on peat and wood. A faint note of vanilla in the far back. Full body, soft carbonation. A quite nice beer, but it’s too one dimensional and on the whisky side for me. 120622

Bottled, thanks Bov! Clear mahogany colour. Distinct smoky licorice and tar aroma, Illeach style. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. Heavy on peaty tarry smoke. Quite intense - the barrel has certainly had huge effect here.
