Beautiful brown color with small white head. Aroma is very peaty, Islay whisky all the way! That barrel must have been wet. Taste is woody and peaty. Finish is burnt wood. Still a nice crispy mouthfeel. Very good!

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown color small beige head. Strong peaty Scottish whisky aroma. Medium-bodied. Flavor has lots of peat too although lacking whisky punch. Caramel, maltyness some chocolate. Pleasant but base beer could be more roasty now perhaps too sweet.

Bottled (thanks Bov!). Very deep ambery brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is alcohol, peat, toffee, some toast and mild berries. Flavour is toasted, roasted mild peat along with some alcohol and smoked notes. A bit thin, but otherwise nice beer.

Bottled, thanks Bov! Hazy dark brown, small head. Caramelly nose with sherry and paper. Sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Plenty of sugar and peat. Low bitterness.

from Erzbierschof - hazy very dark brown beer under a long lasting creamy beige foam; solid peated Islay-like aroma leaving caramel and malt in the background;subtle carbonation and medium to full malt backbone; gentle earthy bitterness and a long smokey finish, very whisky-like with hints of cherry, wood and caramel - subtle and very well-made
