A nice treat. Aromas of overripe bananas, bubblegum, and cinnamon. Flavors are banana bread, bubblegum and rich roasty malts. Very nice.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clearish reddish brown with a slight tan head. A bready aroma with some cinnamon and nutmeg but very subtle. I am quite pleased because these beers usually have an overpowering spice aroma and taste. This is well balanced. Goes down clean with a medium light body. Low carbonation. Maybe one of my new favorite winter beers.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle, shared by caterwaul. He says heís pretty sure he got this at the most recent release. ABV is labeled 8.75%. Mostly hazy brown color. Thin khaki, sort of tan head. Leaves great lace. Awesome big clovey aroma, one of the cloviest beers Iíve ever smelled. Reminds me of side-stream smoking a clove cigarette, or chewing on a clove twig. Love it. Some toasty malt, hint of chocolate. Texture on this is nearly perfect. Smooth, creamy, lighter carbonation, with a nice full mouthfeel. Almost like a nitro pour. Not too sticky in the finish, sort of dry at the very end of it. Hint of smoke, good rich dessert bread malt base, nice medley of winter spices amdist the clove, good nutmeg. Moderate sweet, lightly spicy. Light bitter. Alcohol very well-hidden, bigger body and light sweet taste is all that gives it away. Super good stuff. One of the most enjoyable winter spice beers Iíve ever had. Wish they sent it to Ohio.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. Appearance is dark brown, almost black, with a slight ruby tint. The head is dark tan and paper-thin. Aroma is holiday spices: cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, etc. There is also a light cocoa scent and a very faint roasted malt smell. Absolutely lovely. And it begins to spread through the room as it warms. The taste is a weaker version of the taste. Itís very good, but it simply tastes a bit more watery than I had expected. A very easy drink, especially due to a complete lack of alcohol taste. The mouth is also a bit thinner than expected. Overall, this is one of my absolute favorite beers.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle (8.75% ABV) - beautiful Chestnut pour with khaki head and good lacing. Nose is potpourri, sugar, and toffee. Pine bitterness. Roast bitterness. Almost minty. This is what you get when you cram all of the Christmas desserts and candy at the same time while washing it down with cold coffee. Complex or a mess: dunno. Surprisingly dry, prolly due to the ABV. If I didnít know any better Iíd say this was a scotch ale and Christmas showed up. Odd but I like it.

Nice. Good malt base with nutmeg and other spices. Needs a bit more carbonation and hops tho. Solid B.
