3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap at darkhorse: Very complex nose with load of different fruit combinations, most prominent are clove and vanilla. Very lovely brew from start to finish, not exactlly belgin in mouthfeel but none the less another fine brew from darkhose.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Mulitcolored autumn in color, with a large wispy head that poorly retains life. Loads of clove, fruit and esters in the aroma, with hints of vanilla. Flavor is pretty velvety and leathery, with a flavor that definately doesnít remind me of an authentic Belgian beer. Vanilla and clove continue upon tasting, with burnt maple, caramel and toffee and a pretty one dimensional Belgian strain.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at the brewery. Murky, slightly cloudy bronze-to-orange in color. Best smelling amber ever - wood chips, cedar chests, honey, maple and sweet caramel. Hell yes. Sweet hops flavor. Vanilla and clover blends with lemons and nectar to form an ideal session ale. Light, smooth and the most unique amber Iíve had to date.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz. Bottle: Orange w/ yellow tinges on the pour with a fully diminishing white head, left very flat looking after about a minute or so. Aromas was funky as hell, I want to say old pumpkins and other veggies, in the background was some lighter fruits. Flavor brought back the nasty pumpkin-like aroma, also present were some hops, finally. Watery mouthfeel.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours amber in color with no head. Aroma was very strange yeast, in a bad way. For all you fisherman, it smelled like the live-well in a boat. Flavor was very metallic. Will try again for the "benefit of doubt". But didnít think it was infected, just bad.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewpub. Slightly cloudy light orange color. Frothy thick head with an aroma of fresh wheat and some oranges. The taste is dark bread and some orange peel, alomost like a beefy APA. Interesting twist on an amber ale.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle: Aroma of fruit, light nuttiness, and light yeastiness. Pours an orangish-amber with a shite head. Fruity with a yeastsy and lightly hopped finish. Doesnít really taste like an amber.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
It doesnt say the word Belgain, just "Amber Ale", but I think this is what Im drinking. Hazy dark amber/orange color with a small head. Aroma is a nice balance of yeast and malt, but a little too subdued. Flavor starts off malty and lightly sweet then turns yeasty and finishes with hints of clovey spiciness, reminiscent of hoegarder. Rather thin on the palate, but leaves a nice spice/yeast finish. A prety good beer, nice flavors, but just a little too weak.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Slightly hazy amber body with a thin, quickly diminishing, off-white head. Slightly fruity aroma with a bit malt mixed in. Orange peel, caramel, whole grains, grains of paradise, honey and a touch of apple cider. The body isnít really exceptional and nothing grabs the tongue. The flavor is a bit muddled. The sweetness of the malt, the spiciness, and mild bitterness donít really seem to mesh successfully. Perhaps my sample was a bit old, but the lack of date stamp will cause me to never know. Nothing special.
