100% malted barley gives this classic ale a mild biscuit, toasted malt taste. This is a medium bodied beer with perfect balance of malt flavors. The color is a brilliant amber, while the aroma is slightly fruity and malty.

Bottled a decent while ago -- October 22nd 2013. Poured January 21st 2014. Poured into a shaker pint. Appearance: Pours a hazy as hell orange/brown sort of color. Only a bit of light gets through. Two finger head or so goes away after a few minutes, with only a bit of wispy foam on top after that. No lacing that I can see. Great color, but that’s it. Smell: Smells like a Wit or something. Has that banana and spice sort of aroma that a Wit or Hefe would offer. Slightly sour. Quite Belgian. Not what I was expecting. Doesn’t smell bad, but it’s strange coming from an Amber. Taste/feel: The banana and spice flavor is definitely there in the flavor as well. It drinks like a darker sort of Wit or Hefe. Fairly mild beer overall. Nice body on it with a good amount of carbonation as well. Drinkable. Not at all bitter. Slight tang on the finish from the yeast. Decent brew, but I can see why people would be disappointed in it, going in and expecting a beer that doesn’t taste like, well, spiced bananas. I actually enjoy this beer. I’m not a huge fan of Wits or Hefes, so those flavors blended with some "darker" flavors is nice. Interesting for the style. Good, not great.

Cloudy orange pour. Very sweet. Apricot and earthy basement aroma. Fruity boring taste with not much I like about it. Had this on draft at Pour House.

UPDATED: FEB 11, 2014 35 cl bottle @ home. Pours amber with a little sediment and a white head that leaves almost no lacing. Aroma and flavour are caramel, flowers, and yeast - with a slightly bitter finish.

On tap at Dan’s. The pour is mostly a coppery-gold. There is no head to speak of, and alas, no lace either. The aroma is really bready, with lots of yeast and a malt that almost adds a surprising sweetness to it that wasn’t anticipated. The flavor has a big time sweetness from the malty part of it, but there isn’t a whole lot else going on with the flavors. The mouth feel is really, really watery, and the aftertaste doesn’t linger hardly at all, which is a good thing as I’m not a fan

Botella de 33 cl en el lupulo. 08-01-14. Color ambar anaranjado bastante turbio, espuma blanca muy poco persistente. Aromas afrutados con bastante carbonico, recuerda a sidra achampañada. Cuerpo ligero muy fácil de beber. Sabores afrutados manzana (melocoton, mango, piña...) y cereal, bastante gas y poco poco amargor. Bastante peculiar y ligera, para repetir.
