100% malted barley gives this classic ale a mild biscuit, toasted malt taste. This is a medium bodied beer with perfect balance of malt flavors. The color is a brilliant amber, while the aroma is slightly fruity and malty.

I am not sure what makes this a Belgian Amber. I am not sensing any of the traditional spiciness in the nose, well maybe a little upon second sniff. But the beer itself doesn’t taste up to Dark Horse snuff. In fact, it tastes a lot like a lot of the extract brews I started off doing with my homebrew kit. A little bit of twang. This stuff is decent but that is about it.

Draft. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, biquits, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and bisquits, leading to a dry finish.

Ambar oscura, dos dedos de espuma manchada. Aroma escaso. Caramelo. En boca ligera de cuerpo y floja de gas. Tono acaramelado general, con lupulo presente herbal y con un amargor contenido. Se bebe bien.

Bottle: Cloudy amber body with a thin webbed off-white layer of foam on top. Aroma of toasted cereal grains, metal, stale caramel, very light florals, & a touch of orange zest. Flavor has a strong stale caramel malt sweetness with notes of overly toasted bread, earth, milled grains, & a strange bitterness that lies somewhere between floral & metallic. Light hopping. Not a very good beer.
