2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
I am not sure what makes this a Belgian Amber. I am not sensing any of the traditional spiciness in the nose, well maybe a little upon second sniff. But the beer itself doesn’t taste up to Dark Horse snuff. In fact, it tastes a lot like a lot of the extract brews I started off doing with my homebrew kit. A little bit of twang. This stuff is decent but that is about it.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
355 ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours hazy amber with a thin white head. Metallic aromas, rust and iron. Something lactic. Taste is malty, with a good caramel sweetness. Getting a nice fruity hop bitterness at the end, but the aroma is all wrong.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Very sweet smelling aroma of tropical fruits and sugar. Orange amber color. Sweet malt taste that’s a shade darker than the aroma. Not much hop contrast here. Light body, very mellow except for a weird spice appearance here and there.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours with absolutely no head. Aroma is hefeweisen-like with lots of frutiness. Taste is very inconsistent with aroma - it’s definitely an ale with plenty of maltiness. After you get over the initial shock, its flavor is actually pretty good.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear medium amber with a thin head cover and sheets of lace. Taste is caramel malt, joined in the palate by the mild addition of yeasty rolls. Carbonation shows near the finish to balance things. Light, refreshing, easy to drink, recommended.
