Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 20/11/08. Bronze coloured with a slight, off-white head. Malty aroma with some fruit and earthiness. An easy drinking session beer, with some chewy malt and a decent bitter finish.

Cask handpull (as ’Dark Horse Cruck Barn Bitter, 3.8%), The Craven Arms Inn, Appletreewick, North Yorkshire.‏ Bright and brassy with a low white collar freckling with lace. Soft mineral, grassy and lemon barley aroma. Cherry boiled sweet (sparkler!), big hop bitternes, softening with stone and cashew. Yep, bog standard Yorkshire bitter in a spectacular location. A shame.

Cask conditioned at York Beer Fest ’09. Clouded dark amber with slight head. Floral hopped with tart fruitiness, green and struggling. Some quality shows through in the end.

Cask Stillage from the Cellar in the Outside Marquee at the Prince Of Wales, Foxfield 08/11/2008 Some floral aroma. Mid brown amber coloured and earthy with a crisp and slightly dry malt finish.
