3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a hazy brown with 1 finger head with moderate lacing. Mild caramel malt flavor with grapefruit hop flavors. Very briefly mildly sweet then turns surprisingly bitter for a brown. Moderate carbonation and medium to full body. Medium to long bitter finish with maybe some astringency. This is very good, but not expected with the bitterness.

A bit of a flat taste, but not bad flavor. Good dark amber color. Not overly carbonated, which is always a good thing.

This is actually a pretty darn nice brown ale. For a style that tends to be pretty bland, it has a nice chocolatey flavor. Quite malty, as expected. Hint of coffee.

Une bière très malté, chocolaté avec des touches de cacao. Une légère amertume mais qui ne compense pas le côté "trop" sucré de l’ensemble.

12 oz. bottle in a pint glass. Pours a dark brown with a reddish tint and thin tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, toffee, caramel, and chocolate. Taste is similar, with a dry, slight coffee after taste. One of the more enjoyable beers I’ve had with a prominent toasted malt bill.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Time to rate this one - tap form, pours (shockingly) a medium brown color with a thin off-white head. Aroma is malty, nuts, hint of chocolate, caramel...good nose, if not particularly memorable. Flavor is very malty with chocolate, roasted nut accents, slight bitterness toward the end...splash of vanilla. Palate felt appropriate for the style. Good drink overall!
