Bottle... This beer rocks!… Clear burnt-copper ale with no head. The aroma is a mélange of singed caramel, brown sugar, vanilla and dates. Full-bodied and velvety with feather-soft carbonation. The flavor offers sweet caramel, a light note of coffee liqueur and dark raisins. The flavor is malt-bomb of sweet mocha, brown sugar and dates. Finishes with a lingering, roasty bitter-sweetness. World class beer generously shared by ctipping!

Deep toffee colored pour. Bordering on way dark. Small tan-like head. Little bit of lacing. Notes of caramel and vanilla. Some toffee. Taste is sweet and balanced with some notes of nut and vanilla.

Bottle: Thanks, Tim. Super deep, dark brown body with only a few tan bubbles that make their way to the top. Aroma of huge, sticky toffee, sweet caramel candies, rich woody booze, fruity raisins, brown sugar, molasses, a touch of anise, cocoa dust... Very robust. Very nice flavor of brown sugar, toffee taffy, mild sherry-like oxidation, hints of maple syrup, molasses, caramel, & a light booziness that adds an intense robustness & warmth without being too overwhelming. Sticky, heavy mouth feel. Drinks well for being 17.5% ABV... Nice.

"Definitely sweet leaning, but quite delicious. Boozy, but not so much that I’d have believed the super high abv. Vanilla, bourbon, caramel, tobacco...this could be elite if there was better carbonation, which effects the look and feel."

Bottle share at Tribes Alehouse. Pour is dark caramel with a thin off-white head. Aroma and flavor of rum raisin, caramel, dark fruit, brown sugar, and booze. Finish is hot and cloyingly sweet.

Sample at fauxbab. Where I come from these are called stouts. Dark thick sweet and smooth.

blomster (259) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 2, 2014
Bottle. Dark brown viscous pour, completely flat. Not a whole lot going on in the aroma, bourbon, caramel. Taste is a different story, rich fudge, coconut, wood barrel, smooth bourbon. Sweet, long finish. A perfect dessert beer that could be even better if carbonated just a little bit more.

peteinSD (1407) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 23, 2014
Bottle via trade (I forget from who but thank you just the same). Extremely dark oily brown with no head. Aroma is decadent bourbon, charred candied sugar, vanilla, raisin, alcohol bitterness, and licorice. Taste is thick with raisin, caramel, burnt plum, bourbon and vanilla, molasses, and light bitterness from the alcohol. Smooth, coating mouthfeel. Comes across like a rougher, amped up Angel’s Share. Impressive and unique.

Ataraxia (389) - Massachusetts, USA - NOV 1, 2013
Opaque dark brown, almost black, and almost no lacing at all. Moderately boozy aroma filled with bourbon, chocolate, raisins, caramel, plums, cherries, and hints of charred oak. Sharp bittersweet taste that is accentuated by the lively carbonation and barrel treatment. Strong, viscous, but a tad rough. Full-bodied and boozy with a long finish.

Bottle sampled at a tasting. From notes. Dark fermented fruits and caramel with the addition of vanilla and oaky bourbon. Absolutely awesome.
