Nose like bourbon county. Taste is bourbon county without any burn. Insanely smooth. This is top notch.

Bottle. Thanks to Cbuk1013. This is a nice step up from the standard version (which was great) without being flagrantly barrel aged. Perhaps the aging from 2011 helped. This beer has more body and richness on the palate with some added complexity to the aroma.

Draft at the Michigan Brewers Guild Fall Fest. Far and away the BEST BBA Stout Iíve ever had (and Iíve had ALOT of them). Bourbon, coffee, TONS of chocolate. Super smooth and so well balanced. NEED TO FIND MORE!

Bottle through trade, nice black pour with a thin tan head. Aroma of chocolate, licorice, and a bit of spice/cinnamon. Taste is relatively the same, wish the body was a bit thicker.

Bottle @ The Croydonia Tasting. Paul, weíre forever in your debt. The pourís brown with a small head. The nose is dark roasted chocolate. Cocoa. Sweet rocky road fudge. Bourbon, sweet caramel. Notes of vanilla. The taste is similar. Nice smooth notes of coffee, roast. More sweet vanilla and toffee. Nice, supple. Great balance for the style. Nice and oily, full mouthfeel. Overall, a top tier effort. Better than expected. Great.

Pours black with a finger khaki head.
Smell cherries, peat, slight roast. Pretty sweet smell.
Taste is smooth vanilla, dark fruit, roast, coco. Very well rounded, rich and complex.
Pretty easy drinking for how full bodied it is.

12 oz. silver wax top bottle, 2012 vintage. Got in a trade with Phatdog1, awesome brew Craig!! Insane pitch black color, thin tan head. Aroma is really complex, dark fruits, a nice subtle bourbon and oak character with swirling licorice tones. The flavors of the stout are nicely complex. Plums, milk chocolate, licorice, roasted barley, oak barrel, vanilla and anise with plenty of sweet bourbon in the finish. Nice warmth of the alcohol without any booze flavor or harshness. Full bodied with carbonation levels are low and appropriate. Very oily and slick texture. Amazing brew and really a bottle or keg with just enough age to mellow the bourbon makes this a winner! Fantastic.

Bottle at the Croydonia Tasting, massive thanks to Paul for splitting this big impy want, 13/07/13.
Pitch black with a thin dirty tan head.
Nose is bitter roast malts, dark chocolate, woody tones, bourbon notes, molasses, dark toffee, light boozey waft, brown sugar.
Taste comprises bitter chocolate, sugar, well pitched bourbon, chocolate maltesers.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, smooth and caressing on the palate, finishes with a little alcohol but well pitched and not warming.
Great impy, the alcohol and bourbon level is expertly integrated and the feel is smooth and eminently drinkable backed up with a solid flavour profile.
Top Bollocks !!!
