Bottled (thx to Sarro). Pitch black coloured. Dense brown head. Aroma of roast, sweetness, bourbon, vanilla, light liqourice and coffee. Flavour of vanilla, wood, bourbon, liqourice, coffee, roast and light alcohol. Medium to full bodied. Ends on a roasted bitter note with a light alcoholbite. Quite smooth.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of madsberg. Pours an opaque black with pretty much no head. Sweet Bourbon nose atop some very sweet roast. Solid body, no carbonation whatsoever, slightly tart hard roast, some pruney dark fruit and sweet roast. Lots of warming Bourbon leaving a boozy finish. Lovely - in spite of the lack of carbonation. 311011

750 bomber cracked open for friends at our crazy SC series tasting. One of only 38 made? They should definitely make more. Pitch black pour with a full mocha head and teeth staining residue. Big bourbon aroma with sweet chocolate and rich roasted malts wafting throughout. Tastes of bourbon-spiked brownies with lingering vanilla and oak notes. Oily mouthfeel and creamy smooth finish. Wow - yummy stuff!

8oz pour @ The Local Option. Poured a black color with an average creamy brown head that mostly lasted and produced excellent lacing. Heavy toasted malt, bourbon and chocolate aroma. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Moderate to heavy complex toasted sweet bourbon flavor with a heavy toasted sweet finish of long duration.

On tap at Caponeís. Very nice and dark beer, with a bourbon aroma. Nice balance of sweetness and bourbon on the flavor. The base beer shines through nicely, and augmented nicely by the bourbon. Excellent beer!

Had this on the eve of the August 27th JOís bottle release. Big thanks for sharing this. ~2 oz from a tasting snifter.
4.5 A: Black. Small medium brown head with good lacing.
5.0 S: Excellent duality between bourbon and beer. Sweet leathery bourbon that integrates seemlessly with the stout. Bourbon and barrel contribute a light fruitiness and touches of oak, but leave out any astringency. Super smooth I say. The beer below offers a deep chocolate, moderate roast, and ample caramel. Mild coffee too. Awesome.
4.0 T: Not as comples as the nose suggests. The sweetness is there with the chocolate and caramel, but the roastiness is much subdued. Mild sourishness, but not the infected kind. Moderate bourbon contributions and subtle oak. Itís impossible to think that this is 14%. I still donít believe it.
4.0 M: Heavy body, but on the lighter end of the spectrum. Good moderate carbonation. Reasonably creamy.
4.5 D: A great beer that would be worth seeking out if they made a reasonable amount of it.

On tap at GTMW. Poured inky black with no head on it.. dark and foreboding. The aroma picked up sweet, roasty bourbon over burnt, ashy black patent and molasses.. the barrel worked very well with the base beer. The flavor found a syrupy foray of ashy black patent malt and bakerís chocolate.. strong, tangy bourbon and vanilla laced throughout.. more peppery on the finish, along with residual dry oak and warm malts, all amplified by belly-warming alcohol.. excellent stuff! Heavy-bodied and warm on the palate with low carbonation.. syrupy and coating.. great barrel integration. Iíd love another shot at this!

On tap at GTMW 2011, pours black with a thin head and some spotty lacing in the glass, aroma was very strong with bourbon and a good amount of chocolate, the flavor is full with chocolate and oak with a finish of bourbon, I really enjoyed this one.
