COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is a big and full bodied Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels with lots of roasted malts, but very balanced with heavy hops. Brewed with a top secret root, this beer has an amazingly complex flavor that you must wait for.

Pours a deep rich black color with a two finger mocha foam that sticks and floats with great lasting power. On the nose there is a big dose of vanilla, fudge, marshmallow and some deep bourbon touches. On the palate its velvety smooth and amazingly rich. Big chewy fudge and roasty chocolate on the front end with a rich complex finish that flows with smooth sweet flavors that match the nose nicely..... a pleasure to drink till the last drop !

355ml bottle enjoyed @ home, 2014 bottle thanks to Jdizzle1. Pours pitch black with a tiny light brown head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malt, bourbon, caramel, vanilla, oakm chocolate and cherries. Flavour is light sweet, medium coffee bitterness. On the salty side. Full bodied, crazy oily, soft carbonation. Finish is acidic coffee, smooth and long.

Bottle received in a trade with tferillo, cheers! Pours pitch black with a notable brown head which soon recedes to a bubbly ring around the glass. Aroma is jampacked with vanilla, malt sweetness, roast malts, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, slight cinnamon spice and mild coffee. Taste is vanilla, oak, leather, molasses, burnt sugar, slight creme brulee, raisins, dried fruits. Theres a hint of ginger spiciness and almond velvetiness. Full bodied with sticky and oily mouthfeel.

Bottle, Boise imperial stout tasting. My first taste of the night, this was a solid opener. Near black pour and small brown head. Nose is bourbon, espresso, and chocolate malt. Heavy roast and espresso, lighter in vanilla and some bourbon. It hints at woody, but overall very smooth.

2012 bottle grey wax thanks to Tom. Pours black with beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is roast, wood, vanilla, bourbon. Slick mouthfeel, dark chocolate, wood, vanilla, roast, lingering bitterness, very impressive.

Draft. Pours near black with a beige head. Sweet bourbon, vanilla, light roasted malts, chocolate, and a quick easy finish. Balanced, not at all over the top. Delicious.

2013 Vintage. Pours very dark with a thick brown head. Aroma is complex, roasted coffee, chocolate, deep roasted with some faint oak bourbon character. This is a deep roasted solid stout, and you completely feel that the base beer is phenomenal, but it overpowers the bourbon character a bit. A very complex bourbon barrel-aged beer, not completely driven by the bourbon barrel, with a thick lasting mouthfeel, but something just feels missing.

Bottle courtesy Jess P. 2014 Vintage. Pours an opaque black/brown, little bit of tan head. Aroma very oak-forward, with some dark chocolate and vanilla notes, caramel, too. Body is full and roasty, with finish full of vanilla and oak, sweet but with a bruising almost acerbic oak character as well. Wow...

2012 vintage. Waxed. Pours black with a minimal tan head. Aromas of marshmallow, oak. Not much bourbon in the nose. Some vanilla. Taste is sweet but not hot at all. Is this 14%? Jesus. Drinks like 7%. Easily chugable. Round flavors of coconut, vanilla, s’mores. Almost no carb. Really exceeded expectations. World class.

2014. Thanks, ineedbeer. The beer is wall to wall black with a small light brown head. The bubbles fade to a ring after a couple minutes. The aroma is silky chocolate milk. Big vanilla. Plenty of caramel in the background. Mild oak. Medium bourbon, sweet and rich. Some booze. The taste is sweet with milk chocolate and vanilla. Mild roast. Creamy full flavor. Medium to moderate bitterness in the finish. Smooth mouthfeel. Very easy to drink for a big barrel-aged stout. Tasty stuff.
