COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It’s not as heavy bodied and malty as many IPA’s, in contrast the palate is more crisp and dry. If you consider yourself a "hop-head" you owe it to yourself to grab this beer.

From bottle. Pours a hazy orange brown with lots and lots of sediment and a big whitish head. Lots of lacing. Aroma is mainly citrus. Taste is citrus with some sweetness, but mostly a semi-bitter citrus hoppiness. Medium mouthfeel.

Draft. Served in a shaker. Hazy amber color with soapy head and lace. Aroma is citrus base with grapefruit and oranges. Flavor is nice and balanced. Large amount of grain and toffee\ caramel mats. Hops are a nice blend of citrus and floral notes. The malts are in nice unisen. Bitterness lingers for a moderate duration after the sip. Body is medium leaning on the full side.

Aroma of malts, tropical fruit, pine, caramel. Flavour is thick malty caramel sweetness with some bitterness in the finish. Not as hoppy as you’d expect, more of a sweet malt profile. Could almost pass for an Imperial/Double IPA.

beerbaaron (1278) - Arizona, USA - APR 21, 2014
Poured a nice light orange with s medium creamy white head. Nice hoppy aroma, fruity. Orange, grapefruit, pine, floral, light biscuit. Flavor is much the same, very hoppy. Medium body. Oily. Moderate to high pine and grapefruit bitterness. Fair dryness. Tasty.

very hoppy aroma, citrus, spices, crisp, wood. Beautiful golden orange color, nice white head/lace. Taste is spot on with aroma. Fairly bitter finish, but not too much. Fairly crisp and refreshing. The hoppiness is strong but not too overpowering. Nice and smooth.

Bottle from a store in Louisville, KY. Poured into a snifter at THUNDER. Nice orange-amber pour with a thick white head that lasted. Good lacing. Serious aroma of hops...pine, citrus, resin. The malt profile is there but the hops are very heavy and refreshing. Overall taste was serious pine, resin, and light citrus flavors with a small malt balance. Bitter finish. Very good.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2014 Crooked Tree is a textbook IPA from start to finish. Appearance is orange, hazy, and heady. Aroma is hugely citrusy - lots of grapefruit. The flavor offers everything a hop head could want. There’s a decent caramel body, but the hops steal the show. They’re dank, resinous, and pungent. Don’t expect a malty or fruity brew. This is a crisp, bitter IPA for people who love hop-forward ales.

Bra IPA, humlig och aningen blommig i aromen. Bra fyllighet och en distinkt beska som hänger kvar

Thanks to NickyR on this one. Poured into sniffer. Aroma was mild. Nice and clean IPA. Crisp taste, pretty refreshing.

Drought. Slightly hazy orange-yellow appearance with off-white foamy head, lavender like floral aroma, low carbonation, balanced hoppy taste with floral overtones, low carbonation, abrupt finish. Nice and smooth, but tastes more like American pale ale.
