Itís not as heavy bodied and malty as many IPAís, in contrast the palate is more crisp and dry. If you consider yourself a "hop-head" you owe it to yourself to grab this beer.

12 oz bottle into a nonic pint glass. A: Pours a murky copper color with TONS of yeast sediment in the glass. The head is a one finger offwhite shade. Thereís a good creaminess to the texture, even if it fades moderately quickly. Still, itís not exactly an attractive beer. S: This has a pervasive biscuit quality to the aroma; it melds reasonably well with the textbook grapefruit peel and pine qualities from the hops. The maltiness is sweet and caramel-esque, like I expect. Typical, but I really like how strongly the aroma emanates from the glass. T: The biscuit from the aroma subsides a bit, being supplanted by some initial grapefruit qualities. Still, this is one of the most biscuity IPAs Iíve ever had. Pine bitterness pops up in the midtaste before seemingly washing away on the finish. No one note here really stands out from the pack - however, it compensates by coming across as a great thirst quencher with a modicum of complexity. M: While the body isnít lightweight, it manages to drink crisply anyways. Astringency is balanced well, with only a moderate bitterness accumulating on the palate. Carbonation is high yet controlled in order to preserve the refreshment qualities this provides. O: I reckon this one would really work during the summertime - in some ways, this drinks like a saison. There are better IPAs to be found, but there are also many worse ones as well.

Pours a hazy brown/yellow color with lots of sediment. They leave the good stuff in there and I love that. I know some brewers who used to leave there IPA unfiltered and after they didnít the beer lost a lot of character and ambiance. Flavor is piney, rich, and bone dry. Excellent example of an IPA.

Smell: Caramel, toffee, hops. Looks vibrant, ruby red, dense creamy head. Flavour is full of hops, medium bodied, long finish, very resiny, did I mention BITTER? Malts are completely dry. A real hop punch!

A malty pine aroma. Hazy burnt orange color. Thin off-white head. Bold bitter bite to start. Pine malt taste. Faint sweet note in the back of the palate. Dry to the finish. Has a good balance hop bitterness and malt so that neither is overwhelming. Solid IPA.

Faint piney aroma with a note of citrus. Almost brown in color, deep amber, huge tan head that hangs for a while. Rich malt up front. Some sweet caramel. Citrus is next. Very sweet, with hints of orange. Bitterness seeps in, fairly mild, with notes of citrus throughout. Finish intensifies till the end. Lingers a bit. Rich mouth feel for an ipa. Not bad.
