It’s not as heavy bodied and malty as many IPA’s, in contrast the palate is more crisp and dry. If you consider yourself a "hop-head" you owe it to yourself to grab this beer.

Pours a hazy, dark orange color with a finger length off white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Smells of grapefruit, tons of pine, lemon, floral notes, little carmel or toffee. Dry smell. Taste starts with tons of grapefruit and pine, along with some lemon. Then mellows out a tad with a little sweetness and some biscutiness from the malt. However, the finish presents an abrasive bitterness, along with pine, lots more grapefruit, and some lemon and floral as well. Sort of like a blood orange flavor. Maybe a trace of carmel, but very dry finish. Medium bodied, but on the heavier side. Mouthfeel is very nice: creaminess with good carbonation. This IPA will definitely satisfy a "hophead." One of many great offerings from Dark Horse.

Draft. Copper color and thin white head. Aroma is grapefruit and pine. Medium body and carb. Grapefruit and lemon rind flavors nicely balanced by the sweetness of the malts. Really enjoyable IPA.

Probably far too cold when I drank the beer. Hazy and nice bronze colour. Not the bitterness I was expecting.

On tap at Fermentoren Aarhus. Pours a clear orange with a big, white head. Aroma has caramel, orangy fruity, hops, malts, horse, old hops. Taste is sweet and malty up front, gets more dry and finishes off very grassy bitter. Very little fruit. Medium body and an average carbonation.

12 oz bottle. Just an average run of the mill IPA that has a fancy label to go with it. Avoid if you can.

BOD 01/11/16. Pours a medium amber that is quite hazy and has a tremendous amount of suspended matter in addition to precipitates. This beer is unfiltered, so this is not a flaw. Outstanding head volume, world class lacing and quite outstanding retention. Outstanding, but a rather light, nose of floral and mild citrus over biscuit and caramel. Light body with a smoothness that is slightly more than that of water. World class carbonation with a nice effervescent middle and a finely bubbled prickly finish. The light body and strong carbonation really make the flavors pop. The flavor profile is very good. It begins with a blended hop flavor (floral, light citrus) that never separates. The middle brings a moderate rind and earthy bitterness over a not quite balancing sweetness that barely allows caramel detection. The finish is somewhat dry and an orange rind bitterness lingers.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Hazy golden coloured with a very thin white head. It has a warming orange marmalade flavour with spicy fruit, followed by toffee and malt on the smooth finish. Excellent!

0.355 bottle. Cloudy, light brown color with an orange hue and a small, off-white head leaving some lacong. Strong aroma of fruits, basement, hops, sugar, some yeasts. Taste is hoppy, bitter, quite fruity again - they offset each other to create a pleasant sensation. A medium body, a creamy texture, and a soft carbonation. Finish is bitterer but otherwise also agreeable. Overall, either I got a bad batch or the beer is just good - nothing amazing by any standard.
