4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 burtallen (2) - Michigan, USA - APR 22, 2005I think that this is the most flavorful IPA brewed in the state. It’s full body lasts and you know you are drinking a real beer.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 tectactoe (31) - - JUN 19, 2013
Golden-amber, hazy with an off-white cap and nice, chunky lacing. Very hoppy aroma with pungent perfume, florals, wet roses; earthy, ashy, and peppery just a bit. Light toasted bread and cracker malts on the palate. Great hop show as well; spicy, herbal tea leaves, white pepper. Commanding bitterness with some grapefruit and lemon zest, mild "Lemon Pledge" characteristic, a bit of alcohol warmth. Very light toasty malt flavors. Slick, residual palate stickiness. Solid Michigan IPA, I get this from time to time.

Pours deep golden with white head. Nose is of pine and citrus aromas. Bit of a hop bit but a bot off balanced with the lighter malts. A decent ipa but not one of my favorites

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 TheBear11D (62) - Michigan, USA - JUN 13, 2013
The Crooked Tree pours a dark yellow tangerine orange with a cream colored head that lasts a bit and leaves good lacing. The aroma is orange citrus hops and it smells good. The flavor is floral and citrus hops with the slightest hint of caramel up front. The mixture of floral and citrus hangs on well into the aftertaste. Overall this is a delightful brew.
