3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
bottled. Very pale and poured w/ a lot of sediment. The poor looks are made up for by heady hop aromas, fresh pine & vibrant citrus notes. Taste is crazy dry. Citrus resin w/ hop sediment mouthfeel. Shoulda’ bought a six pack instead of the single b/c I really find it hard to believe they all are this unfiltered.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz. bottle dated 7/21/15 so out of freshness date by a few weeks.
Into a pilsner glass.
A: Poured hard as it was extremely cold. 1 finger of beige head that retains well to big bubbles after a couple minutes and never completely clears. Hazy dull orange and full of sediment..
S: Light sweet malt nose. and little hops noticed. Maybe a muted spicy hop note. Slight alcohol smell as it warmed.
T: Bitter orange taste overshadows the malty sweetness leaving a lightly resinous but clean taste at the finish. Earthy English hop taste with just a touch of orange.
M: Medium body with average level of carbonation. Medium length bitter but fairly clean finish.
O: This beer gets raves but my bottle is out of date and honestly less than impressive in all areas. Some also may not like the level of shit floating around. I guess it deserves another chance...

A really good ipa. Good and hoppy with a good aroma. Darkhorse makes pretty good beer in general.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Looks great with the white head. Extremely dry and very sharp. I could not find any flavor than hop. Not easy drinking.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle @ Home. Clear orange pour with white foam. Has some definite caramel malt and bready sweetness along with a lot of pineapple, orange, and a bit of grapefruit. Somewhat pine forward and a bit of grass. Maybe a touch of peach skin, too.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle@homw, from Wine Spot, Cleveland, USA. Medium bit parfymic/artificial aroma with slightly overaged sweet berries and some alcohol. Dark copper/orange color with small natural white head. Hazy liquid. Medium dry, bit bitter taste with overaged berries and hops. A hint of malts. Organic. Semi-balanced with medium taste spectrum. Long dry hoppy aftertaste with berries and spruce notes. Light body with medium carbonation. Overall, good looking, distinctive and organic, but either the light body or a bit small taste makes it somewhat bland.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle to glass mug. Pours a cloudy brown copper color with a decent white head. I don’t get much nose from this. Actually, I don’t get much flavor either. Kinda light. Maybe a bad try.
