Commercial Description:
It's not as heavy bodied and malty as many IPA's, in contrast the palate is more crisp and dry. If you consider yourself a "hop-head" you owe it to yourself to grab this beer.

Very murky orange pour with small off white head, good amount of sediment. Aroma is full of citrus hops with notes of peacha nd mango. A real pleasure to sniff at this one. The flavor follows sute with the addition of a mild piney bitterness and a moderate malty sweetness. This is an excellent IPA and I prefer it to their double, which I found to be a bit out of balance. Very nice IPA.

With and unfiltered chunky pour, this beer produces a thin cream colored head. The beer is that beautiful orange/red reminiscent of a tequila sunrise. Nice first pour aroma - very hoppy, but dissipates almost immediately. A little sticky on the finish. High bitterness, but does no clean the palate well. Too much left behind to make this a real winner. The light carbonation is not enough to help cleanse the tongue. The mouthfeel has a surprisingly light viscosity. Overall good, not great.

@Indiana Beerfest-on tap-pours a thin off white head and cloudy gold color. Aroma is (simcoe?) northwest/citrus-orange zest/resin hops, secondary medium malt. Taste is (simcoe?) northwest/citrus-orange zest/resin/herbal hops-semi dry/bitter, secondary medium malt. Mild carbonation.

Bottled poured hazy dark amber, chunk-style with tons of sediment. Nice lacy head. Aroma has caramel sweetness and boatloads of resinous hops and yeast. Flavor is strongly weighted toward pine hops balanced by biscuity malt. Commercial description holds true - it lacks the syrupy mouthfeel of other IPAs, opting for a dry finish. Definitely a nice variation on the Midwestern IPA theme.

12oz bottle thanks to mmm/beer. Pours a cloudy, muddy brown color with a thin off-white head and floaties. Pine hops with caramel malts prominent. Taste is funky for an IPA with a heavy malt presence and a peachy hops taste. Mouthfeel is resinous from all the sediment and rather dry for an IPA. Not quite as bitter as most IPAs.

NTH TRIAL: pours a dirty orange-y-brown with lots of sediment/floaties and almost no head; smells like orange-peel, grapefruit citrus, and a hint of pine; taste is delicious, hoppy goodness with nice citrus and piney notes that dominate and very little malt flavor, but there’s still a substantial body to support the hops; finish is just bitter and just dry enough to bring a smile to my face. Overall, this is a wonderful beer despite it’s less-than-spectacular appearance. A fantastic everyday IPA; it’s one of the few beers I consistently purchase by the six-pack. I’m actually a little surprised by it’s style-percentile rating here.
