Have you read the description for the regular Crooked Tree yet? Well this beer is almost the same just double. We actually took the Crooked Tree recipe and doubled all of the ingredients except the water, just the way a DOUBLE should be made. Big hops balanced with tons of malt give this beer a huge body. Although this beer is as cool as "the Fonz" when first purchased, it gets really mellow and smooth with some age. After a year or two stored in a cool dark place you'll notice the heavy caramel and malt flavors are trying to sneak past the hops, they’re just not fast enough. This beer is hugely delicious so it will need your undivided attention (the chores can wait....trust us). 98 IBU's

Bottle: Big...no... massive IPA. I’ve had it fresh and aged... definitely better fresh, the aged just doesn’t do it for me. Full bodied and "smack you in the face" piney hops. Good Stuff, but not my favorite Imperial IPA.

One of my favourites double or triple ipa, this beer have a lot o hops aromas, the aroma is similar at pine needles and a little of fruits. Very balance of hops and malts, for this 12 vol/alchol is veri very fresh and very easy for drink. This is a present of goods! Sorry for my bad english! The next post I take de google taductor..

Backlog rating. Keg at Mother Kelly’s, London. It pours a rich orange color with a medium off-white head. Aroma is sweet and bold, with tropical fruits, caramel, toffee and light booze. Taste has caramel, vanilla, mango, pineapple and light oak bitter finish. Full bodied with good carbonation. Overall, bold

Dark amber tipped with a fickle, short-lived, off-white foam. Deep aromas of spruce and pine waft up from the glass. A tasty liquid, sticky and thick, too malty for my taste in a double, but still a solid brew. The finish is a little overbearing because of the tenacity of the sticky brew. A tasty beer, but not an easy drinker.

12.0 ABV. smell of hops, alcohol, spruce. Dark amber/brown colour, beige head. Aroma of oak, spruce, hops, grass. Sweet and medium bitter. Oily texture. Heavy body. Lively carbon.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass -- Aroma is super malty, looks like a hazy amber color. Taste is a malty bitterness that is quite pleasant. Yeah, this drinks quite well. (bottle says 12%abv)

Hazy brownish amber color, small but stable frothy cream head. Aroma has caramel, pine, wood and citrus. Flavor has caramel, grapefruit, resin and raisin with a slightly nutty finish. Some alcohol in the flavor, too. Medium sweetness and bitterness in taste. Full creamy body with average carbonation, long bitter finish. Quite nice for a 12 ABV imperial ipa, but the alcohol is a bit too sharp. Might be this bottle wasn’t fresh enough for optimal experience.
