COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Have you read the description for the regular Crooked Tree yet? Well this beer is almost the same just double. We actually took the Crooked Tree recipe and doubled all of the ingredients except the water, just the way a DOUBLE should be made. Big hops balanced with tons of malt give this beer a huge body. Although this beer is as cool as "the Fonz" when first purchased, it gets really mellow and smooth with some age. After a year or two stored in a cool dark place you'll notice the heavy caramel and malt flavors are trying to sneak past the hops, they’re just not fast enough. This beer is hugely delicious so it will need your undivided attention (the chores can wait....trust us). 98 IBU's

12oz bottle pours a brown color with a bit of head. Total malt bomb. Fruity aroma and in some ways more like a barley wine that a double IPA.

Draught @Ølbaren. Beautiful reddish amber with off white head. Aroma of resin, pine and spruce with some fruitiness as well. Flabour is barleywine sweet with a thick body levelling out the very pæeasabt bitter finish. Wonderful. The alcohol is so well hidden.

12 fl oz bottle. Hazy dark amber colour, tan foam head leaving lots of lacing and aroma of caramel, citrus and pine. Taste is malt caramel with orange & grapefruit citrus, woody pine, with hop resin spicy earthy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry boozy bitter finish. Very drinkable DIPA.

330ml bottle served in a pint glass. A: Pours a cloudy amber color forming a medium and very creamy light yellow head. Medium to low retention and lots of soapy and lingering lacings left in the glass. S: Strong notes of caramel and crystal malts followed by grassy and citrus hops. Strong notes of grapefruit and pine. A bit boozy. T: Slightly sweet upfront. Strong notes of caramel and crystal malts. Grassy hops. Medium but quite persistent bitterness. Notes of pine and grapefruit. A bit boozy in the mouth too. American style yeasts. M: Heavy body. Medium carbonation. Caramel, grapefruit and pine in the aftertaste. O: Great drinkability. Strong American character. Strong double IPA. Good stuff.

Bottle from Beers’n’more. Pours clear amber, little head. Quite a weak nose for a DIPA, but still full of aroma. I haven’t tried the "normal" Crooked Tree, so I can’t really compare, but this one is full in every other sense. Taste, hops, malts, alcohol. Still, all this doesn’t quite combine to something extraordinary to make a superb beer.

Very solid beer. Aroma of caramel, tangerine, grapefruit and a little bit presence of pine. Seeet bready malt, so smooth for the style, smells of alcool when the bir becames a little less cold. Tangerine notes, not so bitter and strong malty presence. At least Barleywineish malty profile. Good but not great, not so bitter at all.

Pours a cloudy orange amber with a thin head. Aroma is orange, toffee, resin and alcohol. Flavor is sweet with notes of orange, caramel malt and hops. Not as boozy as I thought it would be. Sticky oily mouthfeel. Moderate carbonation. Finish is very dry. Beautiful in aroma, appearance and taste. Top notch Imperial IPA.
