Had at three philosophers with Bruce. Pours a hazy amber pine and grapefruit in the nose. Malty. Some caramel. Nice beer.

Botella de 33 cl en el lúpulo en 26-03-2014 en el momento. Unfiltered ipa with cascade hops.

12 oz bottle. The pour on this is surprisingly dark orange. It’s got a little fogginess to it, and carries a nice white head. The head falls to a thicker film, and a gorgeous bit of lace. The aroma is very malty. There is a good bit of sweet fruitiness going on, but the caramel malt dominates. The flavor is much of the same. There is a good bitterness on the front end, and then the caramel and maltiness roll through, leaving a sweet, and slightly citrusy lingering aftertaste. The mouth feel is a little thin, and it’s lacking the good dryness I’d expect in a good IPA

From flandersned. Deep orange. Nose is grapefruit citrus and bit of pine. Bitter hops on the finish with bit of dankness. Probably my least favorite of the three, but a nice beer all the same.

12o bottle. Unfiltered hazy orange. Pronounced fresh citrus hop aroma, lots of grapefruit. The cascade really turns it into a West Coast IPA. Great.

Bottle. Pours muddy orange with thick white head. Taste is sour, bitter, dank...lighter than expected for this genre but it doesn’t make up for the lack of depth. Not much here.

Bottle: murky amber body with a gray-tinted, soapy & thin film covering the top. Aroma is full of leaves, floral hops, mild fruit juiciness, grapefruit, & a substantial caramel essence in the background from the malt. Taste includes white pepper spice, leaves, grass, & light floral notes. Citrus gets stronger with time, though it’s muted at first. Bitter pith, orange peel, grapefruit rind. Caramel malt is a bit toned down on the palate, but still lingers in the aftertaste. Good take on Crooked Tree, though the regular is still better.
