3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Dark Horse Brewery. Pours orange with a white head and aroma of straight hops, can really smell the cascade. Taste is hoppy, lots of citrus, pine, and tropical fruits with a hoppy, bitter finish. Nice IPA, cascade hops work well

Bottle - Pours a dark amber w/ white frothy head. Lots of grapefruit, oranges, and tangerines in the nose. Starts with oranges and tangerines plus some lemons and grapefruits towards the end, creating a very bitter finish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The bottle said unfiltered, but no trace of sediments in the color. A bit more brown than a typical IPA. I’ve had Crooked Tree before as well as the FF variety. The citrus and the bitterness are all there, but I feel like this beer is more of a character study about cascade hops than an actual alternative to Crooked Tree. I learned more about identifying cascade from this beer, but I’d take the original for a real drink.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
What da heck is this name? I thot it was spelled rong at the bar. On tap at the rivertowne, Irwin. Mild haunting hop perfume greets the olfactory. Taste is much less in the impact than what was expected. initially this stuff is friendly and fairly mild but as the session continues, there is this astringent hop kick that pierces the palate. Yes, nice head stays a tad rocky. Bitterness continues to build and finishes with the most impact right at the end. Leaves you wondering. Finish is the peak of the hops, wew. If it wasn’t for the screetching finish, I’d day this is an apa.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Another disappointing recreation of Crooked Tree, with cascade looking pretty mediocre despite it being one of my favorite hops, just light citrus aroma and flavor, medium body, generic with a bit too much bitter/sweet going on simultaneously.

A golden ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, fruity biscuit malt with floral hops, light must. In mouth, a grassy malt with herbal bitter hops, white grapefruit, nice.
