Older bottle as the yeast seemed really built up on the bottom of the glass. Nice white head with good lacing. Cloudy amber color. Nose is that familiar cascade citrus and floral aroma. Some sweetness. Very clean aroma and taste. Taste is citrusy, floral and well balanced by malts. Medium to light body with a bit of bitter bite. Crisp and clean finish. Quite enjoyable, if not as dynamic as the beer it is based on. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is grapefruit, orange, a weird spice that reminds me of peppercorns. Appearance is a pretty dark amber, unfiltered so nothing is getting through, looks like apple cider. Taste is immediately malt, then a weird balancing act between malt and hops that makes it taste light in flavor, finishes somewhat bitter but definitely missing it. Mouthfeel is nice, decently thick with moderate carbonation and the flavor hangs a bit. Overall, though not bad, I am a touch disappointed because of how much I enjoy regular Crooked Tree. Still, worth trying.

I hope this is the last of the deconstructed nonsense! Look, it is okay--just okay. This will be the last time I try this beer and its lineup. 12oz pour.

Poured from the bottle into a nice bright orange color. A smooth foamed head. An interesting aroma. Fresh pine aroma with a citrus feel. Taste really goes with the aroma. Very interesting with both piney hop flavors and tropical. I would have to say leaning a little more towards the piney notes. A slight nail polish remover note in the end. Still very drinkable.

Bottle from La Atlántica bottle shop, Santiago de Compostela consumed at home Thursday 3rd July 2014 Quite a warm orangey colour but a bit murky as well with a filmy, sticky creamy, slim white head. This is a step up from the other two of this series that I’ve had but still has the malty, slightly typical American crystal malt thing that stands out in a lot of their hoppy beers. Hoppy but with a lingering sweetness, a gentle hoppy burn/warmth. We both like this. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4
