A really nice and smooth smoked beer. Dark pour with a creamy yet light body. Goes down really easy with a hint of smoke along the chocolate and roasted flavors.

Thick, rich malt, balanced with a sweet, smokey flavor. Carbonation was solid, but I would have liked a thick foamy head on this beer. No lacing. Brewer’s description is spot on - smokey BBQ finish would make this a great beer to complement some ribs.

Jet black beer with a thin off-white head. Has a smokey, malty aroma. Taste is subtle smokey with a surprising amount of sweet malts. Beer is smooth and has a nice body feel. I enjoyed this.

$5.50 for the 12 oz. bottle served with Seaboard snifter. Pours a velvety, syrupy jet-black with which allowed a tanned khaki ringed head to rest atop. Aromas of spicy chicken rub, wet tobacco, medium-roast coffee, licorice candies, varnish, shortbread, candied sugar, and some brief, but noticeable, charcoal. Tastes the same with the addition of blackberry purée, minerals, sweat, and topsoil by mid-palate. Yeast, rubber, and chocolate-covered raspberries by swallow. Smooth and exciting. Would have again.

Bottle. Pours almost black with a brown head. Aroma is smokey, peat, malts, chocolate, red fruits and roast. Quite bitter and some malty sweetness. Full bodied with a sticky thick texture and a long smokey finish.

Jet black pour with a minimal, brown head. The aroma is earthy with smokey peat and hint of barnyard. It has a full body with creamy texture and average carbonation. The taste is roasted with a touch of dark chocolate and a dry finish.

Aroma - is chocolate, tobacco, roast, some hops, and alcohol Appearance - the color is black with a brown head that dies down rather quickly, leaving a brown halo. Taste - the feel is a medium bitterness with a nice amount of smoke. It’s roast and toasty. Some barley, some chocolate, not getting there advertised BBQ finish, but it’s good. Not smokey as some stouts or Imp. stouts. Feel - the body is full, the texture is thick and slick, the carbonation is soft, the finish roast, long, and strong. Not really bitter Still looking for a Smoked that brings me back Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Marzen. This is not the one, but it’s a good beer.
