Number Fore - Brewed with all malted barley and peat malt (smoked malt). This beer is full bodied with chocolate, roasted barley flavors, and a smokey almost BBQ finish.

Milk chocolate, nuts, roasted malts and a faint hint of smoke in the aroma. Black with a tan head. Medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium body with a soft carbonation. Overall a really nice brew, but i expected a bit more smoky flavour.

Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, milk chocolate, ash, caramel and floral. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long chocolate and slighty ash finsih. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Pours black with a bit of tan head. Nose is roast, milk chocolate, maybe a hint of smoke. Taste matches, milky, lactose, roast, a touch of coffee. If I'm really looking for it I get some smoke on the finish, but it's really not overly present. If you're looking for a Rauchbier this isn't it, very subtle if at all. Thin mouthfeel. It's fine, I want more smoke. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Small brown head. Opaque black body, even in direct sunlight. Deep chocolatey earthy aroma with faint smoky notes. Sweet-dryish red berry and chocolate taste with smoky grainy notes. Mid-to-full body. Mild, soft, flat mouthfeel. Dryish roasty burnt smoky aftertaste with chocolatey notes. Leaves an ashy burnt finish lingering for a good while. Very nice and drinkable, quite unusual, but loses some points for the finish. (0.33l bottle, from wine monopoly, Oslo, Vika.)

Robe noire magnifique, mousse discrète, beige/brune.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a tan head that dissipates quickly. Dark chocolate with a smoky component in the aroma and taste. Just a great, drinkable stout

Bottle to glass, average creamy dark brown, rapidly diminishing head. Notes of molasses and roast. Medium mouth feel, alittle thin for a stout, though it had a nice long bitter finish. The smoke was so suttle the base beer ran it over.

The smoked malt is nicely subtle in this Dark Horse gem, allowing the expected roasty flavors to come through, too. Tapped at Slow’s in Detroit, so it was just perfect with the Big Three (Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken and Sliced Brisket). You cannot go wrong with this combo platter and beverage!

Color negro intenso con espuma beige oscuro. Aromas ahumados, tostados y chocolate. Cuerpo denso, sabores tostados, ahumados, con un final amargo moderado achocolatado. Muy rica.

Mostly what you’d expect from a stout, the usual chocolate and coffee flavors, but there is also some wood smoke evident, and a faint flavor that tastes like the leather sling on my Mauser Kar98K smells. I like it. I could use a bit more smoke, but I like it.
