tap at the brewpub - Pours a medium brown color and has a mild caramel malt aroma. The flavor has some moderate hops, caramel and/or chocolate malts, and light fruit notes. This ale is bubbly on the palate and medium bodied. Pretty good.

Draft at Dark Horse as well as a growler. Brown body with reddish tint and a light tan head. The aroma is caramel, berry and a touch of tartness. The flavor is lightly sweet, mildly tart with cranberry, caramel, grapes and cherry. Medium body with soft carbonation. Nice, refreshing.

on Tap at Dark Horse, big fruit and malt aroma, at first hard to detect the fruit, but a raspberry aroma becomes evident, color is actually amazing, best described as a purpleish brown ,fruit taste is immediately evident ,and then a definite chocolate sensation hits you, with a pleasing bitterness at the end, everyone at our table liked it

MI BG Winter fest. Pour hazy brown color with slight tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate. Flavor is again roasted malts, chocolate, caramel, some nut, lightly acidic. Palate is medium bodied, medium carboantion, semi-sweet finish. Solid, just not great.
