Cask at Coggleshall (I think). Clear gold beer. Semi crisp and semi dry palate. Sharp hops impart citrus. Biscuit malt. Tasty beer that slips down very easy.

Cask handpull, The Craven Arms Inn, Appletreewick, North Yorkshire, 20/04/11. Brilliant gold with a Persil drum of head. Lemon barley and slate aroma. Flavour has almond, mineral grassiness, big hop punch leaning towards shampoo IBUs...but very little hop character. Corn snacks afters, rich tea crumbs. Clean and drab.

Cask (gravity dispense) at the Bricklayers Arms Yorkshire Beer Festival on 23 February 2011. Gold colour. Decent condition. Mellow but fresh mouthfeel. Restrained biscuity malt with some citric hop character. No show-stopper but a perfectly agreeable and likeable clean golden ale.

Leighton (4097) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2011
Gravity cask at the Bricklayer’s Arms BF, 2011. Clear gold pour, no head. Has some modest, doughy malts on the nose and light, tart citrus. Medium sweet, lightly bready with fine hints of butter and zesty fruits. Light bodied with very fine carbonation. Finishes lightly dry with light grass, straw and dough. Alright.

On handpull at the Craven Arms in the Yorkshire Dales, a clear bright gold in the glass. A light and fruity palate, very drinkable and a good example of a golden ale.

Cask @ National Winter Ales Festival 2009, Manchester. Pours a dark golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy aroma with some citrus hints. Fruity sweetish malty flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a sweetish malty hoppy citrus finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 8/12/08. Deep golden in colour with a slight, white head. Aroma of sweet malts, a touch of corn and grassy hops. Flavour was sweetish, with some summer fruits and a short, dry finish. Ok.
