Can bought and drank for a BlackIPA contest. Not a whole lot in the way of aroma and flavor, some corn and grass. Pretty sweet. Fairly terrible, but not offensive. I might opt for it over a BMC.

This can should come with a T-shirt that says "I drank Dark Horse Ice, and didn’t die...yet." It pours a pale yellowish color with a lot of carbonation with a yeast like scent similar to cheap champagne. Upon drinking it has a weak lemon taste. Overall it has a very weak taste and not much better texture. This is beverage simply made for alcoholics needing a cheap fix or something that should be used in a dare. Makes Miller Lite taste like Dom Perignon.

24oz can, poured into a fancy snifter. Pours a clear gold with no head. Aroma of fruity green apple, brown sugar and a bunch of caramel. Taste is about the same. Seriously, this is kinda good. Medium bodied with a slick texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, not bad. I could enjoy this on the reg. SO I need to know, what the hell is the alcohol content of this thing?

It sucks BUT in a peer comparison I find it unrivaled. I pay $3.50 for a six pack almost any time I want and I don’t regret it. There will be much better options out there that will rate higher in all categories, except value. Nothing beats this swill, dollar-for-dollar. This review is based off of a drink fresh out of the cooler, as little as 5 minutes in the open air will drastically reduce this beverage’s drinkability, obviously.

Malt Liquor Appreciation Day 2011; 24 oz. can; thanks Brandon!! damn it to hell, I should have taken a photo of this beautiful can for the database before it got tossed; oh well, 15th malt liquor tick!! pours light orange with fluffy white head; nutty corn, dry malt, white sugar and green apple; a little metallic, sweet and boozy; easy drinking for the most part except for the almost sticky and syrupy coating on your teeth; one of my least favs of the day

Was excited by the high alcohol content. We had a case race with this shit: my team lost but the other team had two members that got extremely sick after they won so it was worth it (of course I drnak the most). Aside from that story, this high gravity lager tastes terrible and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it unless you need a case of beer for cheap (costed like 9 bucks) that will definitely intoxicate you.

12oz can and a bad ass can at that. Pours a clear golden with little head. Nose is mostly apple with touches of flakes corn nuts. Apple, white grape, dry hay and touches of corn. Has at bite at first but simmers down on the second taste. Goes down smooth and could drink a couple.

Smells like apple juice, somewhat corny and sweet too. Can is awesome! Like the cover of a heavy metal album. Its got lightning, a big ass horse, a mountain of ice that’s cracking, and the font for the can looks like it should say Manowar or Helloween! Kind of corny, really corny, green apple, chlorine, grainy sweet, some light alcohol notes. Also lightly metallic. Well this is good.
