amber in color with frothy white head. hazy, sweet malt smell and taste. very refreshing clean finish great summer beer.

Clear amber body had me a bit worried about this beer any thing even remotely kolsch-like. However, this was actually very solid. I should know better than to doubt dark horse! Light cracker nose, light herbal hops. Taste was nice and dry, lots of biscuit, some caramel, but it’s never sweet or astringent. Dry and bitter finish. Excellent beer, not really a kolsch though, but who cares. Yum.
