This draft brew from the brewery during rbsg #41 rating party poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a softly carbonated opaque copper brown colored body and a good lacing. The weak aroma was malt hop. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish. The nice flavor contained notes of mild hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

At the brewery during RBSG 2010. Hazy red with a puffy lid. The aroma is a bit different but it is super fresh with sweet fruits and citrus, red apple skin, some tropical things as well and caramel. Great fruity aroma, light pine and very good malts - mainly caramel. Sweet malts, grapefruit. The bitterness is surprisingly light. Very yummy brew. Chewy.

Pale amber pour. Fresh and lightly malty with a lot of softly tropical American hops. Well-balanced wtih a bit of lingering hop bitterness. A softly caramelly sweetness on the back. Pretty solid APA.

A bit dark for a pale ale, but it wasn’t overboard on the crystal malt/caramel, so I found it rather enjoyable, nicely attenuated as well. Solid all around.

Draft at MIBG Summer festival during RBSG 10. Pours a deep amber with off white head. Quite clear. Nose is pretty subdued. I get some iced tea, florals and caramel. Not a lot going on. On taste, more of the caramel and a pleasant and soft bitterness. More of the floral notes, though mostly the crystal malt coming through. Meh.

Dark amber with small head. Faint caramel aroma and hints of maple. Flavor is super sweet, with biscuit, alcohol and bitter florals.

Draft at the Dark Horse. Pours a rich amber. Medium off white head. Good retention. Nice lacing. Hard for me to get any aroma. Flavor is more carmally then hoppy. I actually thought this was an amber ale until told otherwise. Very rich. Body is on the high side of medium. Given this beer was brewed to benefit a local charity I really wasn’t expecting it to be so good. Like almost every other Dark Horse brew this is a winner.

Draft at brewpub during RBSG 10. Pours a rich amber. Balanced aroma, similar to an amber ale, resiny, some caramel. Flavor follows, well balanced, very drinkable, similar to hoppy american ambers. Went nicely with my pizza.

On tap at Dark Horse during our trip there during RBSG. Pours a clear ruby brown with a thin white head. Very soft citrus and light malt. Soft and clean, light citrus. Light malt leading into a crisp bitterness on a very slow finish.
