3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sample at First Sunday, brought by heyta. Pours dark, with a minimal, tan head. The aroma is sour cherries, chocolate, and toffee. Very sour flavor up front, and very well balanced with lots of malty sweetness. Medium body, acidic, and a little clingy. Reminds me of cordial cherries. Very flavorful, and a nice, subtle aroma.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
750ml bottle. Bottle 725 of 804. Batch 3659. Origin was the 2012 Winter Warmer party. Pours dark brown with deep red tones. No head or carbonation Huge sour aroma. Taste is pure sour, like biting into a really sour apple. My palate is obviously not refined enough to appreciate sour beers. I poured about half the bottle into a pint glass and sipped on it until it was done, but I had to pour the rest out because I was getting no enjoyment what so ever. Some of this may be my lack of experience with sours, but based on most of the other ratings maybe this one just didnít work out for DH. Regardless of of this disappointment I still absolutely love this brewery. I just wonít be spending big bucks on any more bottles of DH sour beers.

0.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
Bottle was an extra. Cage is loose, so assuming low/no carb. Required a wine opener to get the cork out. I think there was actually a vacuum instead of pressure...ha.
Smell isnít horrible, but is intense vinegar. a bit of oak.
Ah shit....that was nasty. Not sure when this was bottled or how this was when it was released, but if it was anything close to this, piss off Dark Horse for releasing it. Just so bad. I canít even consider taking another ship. vinegar and vomit.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
750mL shared by RobConoClast from BA, Thanks Rob. This is just a acetic bomb, tons of nail polish remover in the nose and stinging in how bitter it was, I think DH needs to up their sour game before they continue.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark mahogany with scant beige head, no legs / Light, sour, acidic nose of dark & orchard fruit, oak, hint of acetone / Light to medium body, mostly flat, good balance otherwise, somewhat hot / Sour, mellow flavors of plum, dark cherry, chocolate, balsamic vinegar, oak / Iíve now tried a number of this series. Varied from awful to average. Sort of seems like an ownerís kidís pet project.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle... Pours dark brown (nearly black) with no head. Looks dead. I wonít lie. Iíve seen what this beer is averaging with beer raters. Not good. I though: Hell, itís probably another Flanders red that most raters donít appreciate due to the misunderstood acetic acid that is nearly synonymous with the style. This is not a Flanders red; just a poorly executed, molasses-heavy (too much black malt) imperial stout. Then they threw some lactobacillus into it and hoped for the best.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared by Chris from Dark Horse. Aroma has notes of sour funk, horse blanket, white fleshed fruits, dark red vino fruits. Interesting aroma. Very dark brown hue with a small off-white head. Flavor is very sweet and sour. Palate is full bodied with a medium finish. Overall the sourness and the stout tones end up conflicting with each other instead of complimenting each other. Interesting and fun to try.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Plum colored pour. Very vinous tart vinegar bite with tart cherry, balsamic, unripe plum, vanilla, and peach. Actually pretty all right. Thin and aggressive on the palate, but a decent array of flavors going on.
