On tap at Milltown. Turbulent and lightly hazy amber pour with two fingers of sticky sandstone tan head. Much darker than a standard kolsch. Malt dominant nose and flavor, spicy hop character and a definitive toasted malt character and malt sweetness. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and light bitterness.

Pours a rusty orange color with no head. Nose is vanilla bean and buttery caramel . Taste is flat without much flavor, rather boring and insipid. Taste is dry with a caramel ending. Fair at bet. quaff score 5 / 10

Pours a dark orange with an off white head and aroma of malt and caramel. Taste is light, of malt, caramel, and bread notes, but boring and not much flavor.

12oz bottle. Small off-white head atop lightly hazed amber body -- darker than any Kolsch I’ve seen. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, light bubblegum, hay, faint grass. Taste is moderately sweet, grass, caramel, some bubblegum. Light-medium body, light stickiness. I’m not sure what it is, but it’s unlike any Kolsch I’ve ever had.

Bottle. One of the strangest Kolschs I have ever tried and a pretty weird beer. Cloudy orange appearance with a lot more power than expected. Lots of fruitiness with a full on flavour. Although I have rated it a 4 it could have easily have been a 3 but it was so different that I struggled to come to grips with it. Weird and wonderful.

Draft. Pours deep gold with a thin white head. Grainy malty, with herbal-ish hops, and lightly sweet malts. Doesn’t taste very fresh. Not great.

Pours dark amber with a fully receding off-white head. Notes of sweet malt and caramel. Medium to full bodied, sweet with soft carbonation. Strange for a kolsch.

Bottle (from backlog). Golden color with big and frothy off-white head. Aromas of hay, corn and grain. Crisp and light.
