Cask by handpump at Bon Accord, Glasgow (12 May 12) - clear golden ale with a thin white head, no aroma that I could detect, good temperature, grassy / citrus hop, quite refreshing.

Cask @ Bon Accord. Clear golden colour, off-white head. Aroma is slightly hoppy and lemonade. Flavour is hoppy, some malts, and slightly bitter.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Gold with a white head. Pleasant sweet aroma, but the taste is a different story. It’s the flavour I know as car seat plastic. Some sweetness and bread, but it’s mainly 1950’s Ford Zodiac. Having written that in my notebook I sipped on for a quarter of an hour, and it began to grow on me, and memories came flooding back of roaring up the A6 to Blackpool in September ’59. Happy days! The Tower Circus and the illuminations! And the Preston bypass, the first bit of motorway in Britain!

Cask conditioned handpump Golden Lion Wellingborough. A golden beer with a thin white head and lacing. A fruity aroma with a hint of toffee leads to a decent grassy hoppy flavour. Some sweetness in the mouth too. A pretty nice, mostly malty beer.
