This one grew on me to a degree. At first I thought the palate was missing depth, but after a few more sips I realized it filled in the depth reasonably well. This isn’t a great beer, but it is good. Aroma is dank. Color is a golden copper. It tastes of juicy tropical and citrus fruit, with a nice orange and citrus rind hops bitterness and a decent malt sweetness in the backbone. Not bad, really.

Bouteille 33cl. Cuivrée, col fin blanc disparaissant assez vite.

Most pronounced caramel maltiness from this series, but quite thin hop character, some grapefruit. Moderate sweet with moderate bitterness, Decent for my drinkability liking, but bit too thin for IPA

tap - Copper pour with a one finger off-white head that laces nicely. It has a pleasant aroma of citrus hops. The flavor is all about the crisp citrus accented hops. There’s enough malt to hold up this medium bodied brew and the hops linger nicely in the finish. Drink it fresh.

Poured from bottle, pours a hazy amber orange with a thin white head, the aroma is of slightly sweet malt and a little bit of hops, the flavor is of older hops with some malt sweetness in the finish, the hops and fruity of original crooked tree just aren’t there, meh.

Bottle. Looking almost clear, but there’s lots of microfloaties in there. Orange-golden colored body and a small, dense, off-white head. The aroma has a spiced touch, with resins and citrus fruits. Some pale malts and an almost alcoholic touch. It’s quite bitter on the palate, medium bodied and rather dry. Orange zest, pine cones and a resiny touch. Lasting finish. Quite decent this one, but nothing special going on. Rather unbalanced. 141219
