12/24/13. 12oz bottle thanks to polomagnifico! Black pour with a nice tan head. Toasty aroma with chocolate, toasted bread, some maltiness. Dry, bitter flavor, plenty of chocolate, dark chocolate, coffee, and lingering ash. Tasty.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Thick, dense black pour with a brilliant brown/tan head. Tons of sediment in the bottle which I swirled in. Smell is caramel, chocolate, dark malts, and slight peat. The flavor is almost identical with a creeping fruitiness, slick mouthfeel, and bitter aftertaste.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
@Weilands Market/Columbus Opaque brown-black with a short-lived tan head , thin isolated strips of lace. Taste is bitter roasted malt with black coffee. No need for hop bitters in this brew, but it would be nice to have the taste grow, develop new flavors, change, or something besides sending the opening malt straight through. Decent, but not one of the better choices frrom Dark Horse.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
No bottle date
A: Pours a abysmal dark with a single finger of mocha head which falls to thin and broken surface sheet of the same. Rim of foam. Little to no lacing. Boring for the style, usually expect a little head and some lacing.
S: Bitterness, coffee, dark chocolates, rye bread, oats (fully roasted). Hints of...mushroom? Faintest hare of copper.
T: A little astringent up front, then plenty of bitter cocoa and coffee beans. Fairly simple taste profile here. Base oats and malts I would expect in the style. A little too much bitterness midway on the palate. Nothing standing out here. A bit sour on the finish.
M: Medium body with medium to hi carb. Would prefer a bit more body on the style and a little lower carb. Dry finish.
O: Pretty standard oatmeal stout IMO. That being said, I would drink it again. I think if they increased the hops on this they would have a pretty solid ABA.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours black with a brown head. Taste roasted malt, chocolate, coffee. I thought this was so so. I wouldn't drink this again.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is a delicious stout. Great cocoa coffee nose. Thick dark brown head. It has great viscosity in the mouth. Rich roasted malt flavors that match the nose. Had it on tap.
