COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a true dopplebock and Dark Horse Brewing’s only publicly distributed lager. It was so normal that we couldn’t stand it so we made it into a coffee dopplebock. Ha, take that Germany, with your Reinheitsgebot purity law! Anyway, we use fair trade organic coffee from our friends at The Ugly Mug Cafe in Ypsilanti, MI We did a label contest and opened it up to the public for this beer. We had so many awesome entries that we couldn’t just pick one winner so we have 2 labels for this beer. We stagger the bottles in the six packs but with no order in mind.

Kolejny Perculator i ten sam problem. W zapachu i częściowo w smaku pojawia się dziwny aromat/posmak. Przypomina troche surowy bób. Zupełnie mi to nie odpowiada. W smaku czuć to dużo mnej ale tez nie jest zachwycający.

Bottle poured into shaker. Hazy Cocoa brown color with average white head. Aroma of rich malt sweetness and burnt coffee. Taste is coffee forward with a bitter peppery coffee aftertaste. Not my thing at all

On tap at Beer Temple. Deep brown colour, beige head. Aroma of ground coffee beans, some malty sweetness. Flavour is ground coffee, sweet malts, dark fruits, burnt caramel, hoppy and coffee bitter finish. Medium to full-bodied. Tastes a lot smoother than expected from the aroma. Nice.

Coffee grinds flavor mostly in the forst sips, after that it is a nice, yet slightly thin coffee flavor.

Pours from a bottle with a light brown (almost coffee colored) color and a healthy tan foam head. Has a nice coffee aroma. Flavor is a strong coffee with some dark chocolate and toasted malts. Body has a light to medium feel, but is smooth and goes down nice. This is an excellent coffee brew.

The Perkulator pours a dark plumb color with a thick foamy light tan head that lasts a very long time. The aroma is coffee and caramel. The flavor is coffee and caramel. Overall this is a decent beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

That’s quite an experiment! In aroma you get an interesting mixture of intensive coffee notes and typical set of doppelbocks - malt, caramel and toffee. It pours deep amber hazy with nice head with proper lacing. Palate is very oily and the taste is sour sweet. Alcohol is very well masked since you concentrate on aroma mainly, carbonation is quite flat and the aftertaste is sour. Nice one.

http://imgur.com/Ra9suuJ - Bottle. Pours opaque brown with moderate, tan head that lasts and laces. Smells overwhelmingly of habañero pepper, of all things. Drinks smoothly with little lingering hop bitterness. Light to medium bodied. Tastes of pepper, roasted coffee, toasted malt, oak, and dark bread. Lots of distinct flavors. Good effervescence.

if you are a coffee lover and a beer lover this is awesome. Best beer using coffee I’ve had.
