3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Beer Temple. Deep brown colour, beige head. Aroma of ground coffee beans, some malty sweetness. Flavour is ground coffee, sweet malts, dark fruits, burnt caramel, hoppy and coffee bitter finish. Medium to full-bodied. Tastes a lot smoother than expected from the aroma. Nice.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours from a bottle with a light brown (almost coffee colored) color and a healthy tan foam head. Has a nice coffee aroma. Flavor is a strong coffee with some dark chocolate and toasted malts. Body has a light to medium feel, but is smooth and goes down nice. This is an excellent coffee brew.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
That’s quite an experiment! In aroma you get an interesting mixture of intensive coffee notes and typical set of doppelbocks - malt, caramel and toffee. It pours deep amber hazy with nice head with proper lacing. Palate is very oily and the taste is sour sweet. Alcohol is very well masked since you concentrate on aroma mainly, carbonation is quite flat and the aftertaste is sour. Nice one.

http://imgur.com/Ra9suuJ - Bottle. Pours opaque brown with moderate, tan head that lasts and laces. Smells overwhelmingly of habañero pepper, of all things. Drinks smoothly with little lingering hop bitterness. Light to medium bodied. Tastes of pepper, roasted coffee, toasted malt, oak, and dark bread. Lots of distinct flavors. Good effervescence.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This is definitely different from other coffee-influenced beers that I’ve tried, being lighter on the palate. I think my bottle might be a bit old, as it doesn’t seem quite as good as described in most reviews. Aroma is kind of a weird some-malt, some coffee. Pours dark brown, with, in my case, a big, big head that dissipated fairly quickly. Taste is very subdued coffee, malt, some decent hops bitterness and what seems like a metallic taste. Hey, I can say I tried it. Most likely won’t try it again.
