COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It's big and full bodied with lots of roasted malts and balanced with heavy hops to put this imperial in a league of its own.
Previously known as Dark Horse Imperial Stout.

Kran, Jabeerwocky. Ciemne, z nieimponujaca piana. W aromatach bardzo fajnie i duzo sie dzieje, czekolada, kawa, palonosc, owoce suszone, zwlaszcza sliwki, rodzynki, do tego jakby waniliowy cukier puder... Czuc tez alkohol. W ustach bardzo pelne, geste. Smaki w slodka strone ewidentnie. Alkohol dosc mocny, wyczuwalny rowniez na jezyku. Giryczka przykryta czekoladowa slodycza i alkoholem. W caloksztalcie: bomba :)

Huge aroma, chocolate, fig and raisin, slight cherry alcohol burn. Prickly carb with a half inch if caramel foam. Tastes of roasted malt slightly thinner than you?d expect. Slight cherry and a touch of coffee.

Heavy weight IMP stout. Very smooth, rich roasted malt profile, coffee and dark choco, vanilla, some hops in background gives fruitiness aspect. Moderate sweetness with moderate to light bitterness. Bittersweet finish. Enjoyable brew!

Dobrze zbalansowane.

Big dark heas with plenty of coffee aroma. Smooth sweet coffee taste that lasts. Hits at 11% though you would be fooled.

Bottle. Dark brown/almost black in colour, tan head. In aroma lots of chocolate, dreid fruits, molasses and some roastiness. In taste medium sweet, chocolate, low roastiness. Full bodied, intensive, oily, smooth and silky, low carbonation. Alcohol present, but on minimal level, very gentle. Great beer.

Blind RIS experiment [Sample 8/20, 4/13/2015] Poured by Summer. Dark brown, thick, near black pour. Minimal ring of tan head, splotchy irregular lacing. Aroma: this smells great. Loads of chocolate, chewy dark fruit, molasses, licorice (licorice? yeah, I guess). Metal lurking in the background. Light roast. Mild oxidation. Taste is on the sweet side, with just enough roast to provide balance. Chewy chocolate molasses sweetness. Full body, silky texture, average carbonation. Lovely lasting taste. This is probably the best of the bunch so far, and I’m glad that after the first 5 things are starting to come back to beers I actually enjoy drinking.

Would pay: $4/bottle no problem; $6 on occasion.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, cocoa, coffee, licorice and alcohol. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long warm, licorice, coffee and chocolate finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Not a shock but the bourbon barrel version is way better. This is still pretty good though.
