Pours dark black with a thin reddish brown head. Aroma is lots of dark fruit , boozey, nice roast and cacao. Taste is bitter sweet chocolate, roasted malts, raisins, bitter chocolate lingers for a while, not that boozey tasting for an 11%. Nice brew..

12 oz. bottle. Pours an oily, inky black with no head. Aroma is heavy on roasted malts and coffee with some dark chocolate and a hint of hops thrown in. The coffee isn’t as strong in the taste, and there is a taste of dark fruits, but otherwise taste follows the nose. Very good.

Bottle poured into a snifter. Bottled 1/30/14, 11% ABV. Pours a thick motor oil like consistency with jet black body and almost two fingers of tan head. Light lacing fades quickly. Aromas of roast, coffee, dark fruit, dark chocolate. Tasting notes of roast, coffee, dark fruit, dark chocolate, caramel/toffee sweetness, light hops. Creamy mouthfeel. Medium-full body with a dry roasty finish. Very smooth at 11%.

RAW! The best I can say is that this beer is an imperial in the Rawest form! Had from a 12oz. Bottle pour is oily pitch black, nice dark head that was fairly lacy. Taste was bold roast with an almost meaty fermentation, did catch some hints of coffee/dark chocolate. The alcohol is idenifable but smooth with almost wine like finish. Over all very nice defiantly not for the weak of heart this is a mans stout!

Bottle from Woodmans in Waukesha. Pours inky black with a brown head leaving a lot of streaks of lace. Aroma has heavy roast, bakers chocolate, molasses and caramel. Taste is of sweet choco/caramel, espresso, thick molasses and some burnt malts. Lotta nice flavors in this one. Full bodied, and a bit dry. Finishes strongly bittersweet with a nice long blend of the two. Very enjoyable!

a decent enough stout, but honestly not any better than the stuff ive had from, say, Mikkeller. honestly tastes very similar to some of their stouts. will be curious to see what the BA stuff tastes like someday.
