It's big and full bodied with lots of roasted malts and balanced with heavy hops to put this imperial in a league of its own.
Previously known as Dark Horse Imperial Stout.

Pours black with thin tan head. Aroma of chocolate and burnt toast. Flavor is bitter dark chocolate with roasted malt, with some smokiness and a bit of bitterness that lingers. A bit dry. No noticeable alcohol. Not for the faint hearted.

Wersja 11%

Smak: spora słodycz, jednak szybko kontrowana kwaskowością i nutą wytrawną pochodzącą z ciemnych słodów. Jest także spory alkohol. Następnie suszone owoce, czekolada gorzka, tosty, paloność. Goryczka w okolicach średniej, głównie słodowa i umiarkowanie długa.

Certainly not what I expected. This is a quite excellent imperial stout. Pours black, with little to no head. Aroma is excellent...a bit oily to the mouth, nice and thick with little to no bitter.

Aromat: czekolada, wanilia, kawa, paloność Wygląd: barwa czarna, piana średnio obfita. Smak: na początku sporo słodyczy, głównie kawa i paloność, w tle czekolada i wanilia, średnia goryczka, alkohol delikatnie grzeje. Tekstura: geste i likerowe, wysycenie niskie. So I’m looking for a glass, and I find my snifter from @NewGloryBrewing and I know it’s the one for me tonight. It’s just the right size for something as hot as a 12% and fits in my hand like it’s meant to be there. I peel the cap from the neck and open a formidable aroma. The boozy bite in the air is easily driven to a second impression as the heady scent of burnt sugar and overripe plums is potent. - I tip the bottle and the thick, oily brew cascades into the glass in a stream of dark mahogany. The head is rich cocoa in hue, foaming at the surface with an aggressive pour, and receding in moments. The surface of the beer is rimmed at the inside of the glass with the deep chocolaty froth; islands of delicate foam drifting atop. Beautiful. - I sip, bringing just a taste to my lips at the edge of the glass and pulling slowly, deeply at the thick brew. The flavor causes an immediate reaction...eyes close, deep intake of breath, the draw of the liquid through my mouth, over my gums; a slow swallow, completing the experience. An exhale brings the true essence of the aroma; dark malts evoke flavors of spent leather, dark fruits and molasses. A glimmer of vanilla in the finish eases the flavors, brings them together and they melt in my mouth. There is nothing about the experience from this bottle that makes this difficult to drink despite the ABV. It’s delectable, aromatic and sexy as hell. If there was a Dark Horse that I’d pick up regularly, this would most definitely be top of the damn list. Fabulous.
