A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is fantastic with notes of alcohol, roasted malt, and hops, in a very fine mixture. The flavor is very roasted, which gives it a dryness, but also rather sweet, leading to a good bitter end. Nice.

Bottled. Quite much pitch black colour with small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, liquorice, mild smoke as well as some quite strong alcoholic notes. Flavour is roasted malts, liquorice, some rather strong bitterness as well as mild wooden notes. Quite strange balance in the flavour.

Bottlesd at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Opaque pitch black, minimal beige head. Earthy raw licorice aroma. Sweet and very fullm bodied with well rounded mildly viscous mouthfeel. Earth and crude oil, raw licorice and milk chocolate. Mellow and relatively balanced for such a big beer. Irish cream finish with chocolate and alcohol heat. Quite nice for being an oversized Imperial stout.

At Papsoe’s pre CPH Beer Fest tasting, cheers Henrik! Very light and airy stout. Taste is off rich alcoholic chocolate. Like a brandy or rum chocolate liquer. Hides the alcohol well. Rich and very drinkable.

Pours oily and black, with very little head. Persistent aroma, liquorice with some phenols. Oily mouthfeel, thick, sweet, with a good combination of malt, liquorice, roasted malts, nuts; more sweet than roasted. Excellent.
