COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It's big and full bodied with lots of roasted malts and balanced with heavy hops to put this imperial in a league of its own.
Previously known as Dark Horse Imperial Stout.

Black with tan head. Nice lacing. Roast, mild coffee, mild alcohol, and sweet malt aroma notes. Full bodied, syrupy, medicine like alcohol notes, and chocolate notes. High hop roast-bitterness, lasting bitter finish with alcohol notes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle to glass. Pours a deep brown to black color with a thin brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, mild coffee, vanilla. Flavor is slightly bitter, burnt malts, heavy dark malt sweetness. Medium body with a lingering burnt bitterness. Solid imperial stout, but not my favorite.

From the bottle, pours black with a beige head. Aromas of chocolate and hints of coffee. Taste is sweet, a little boozy, chocolate and some coffee. Full mouthfeel. Rich and creamy. This is one very nice beer.

On tap at Red Rock in Ypsilanti. Bland nose, pours a pitch black. Decent, slightly smokey flavor. Smooth but a little weak. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Matt the Miller’s in Grandview. Plead the 5th Imperial stout is a deep blackish brew with just a hint of brown at the edges. Nose is rich with dark chocolate and roasted black coffee notes. The texture is silky and very apparent on first sip. Taste is rich and malty with dark chocolate over very smooth hops. Finish is good dark chocolate bitters that linger a while. excellent imperial stout.

Poured from a 12oz glass to a tulip. One of the darkest beers I can remember. Nose is full of sweet alcohol vanilla and chocolate with a mild hop and malt character. Taste if full of chocolate and roast. Finishes dry with a slight hop character to go with the malt bitterness that lingers on your palate .

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a tulip glass. Minimal head. Very dark to the glass. Aroma is strong chocolate notes with a slight smoke scent. First taste is complex with chocolate, roasty and carmel. Finishes with a slight dryness to the palate and a graving for more! A very fine Imperial Stout!

Sooooo surprised me. Really enjoyed this. Nice black/dark color light colored head for how dark it was and the flavor was fantastic. Finish was very smooth for me and I remember thinking when I finished it really really wish I could find more.

Looks like a huge glass of espresso. Lots of coffee, licorice and roasty goodness. Top notch stuff.

Poured very thick and creamy in my snifter. Notes of tobacco and burnt chocolate on the nose. I love the thick palate and bitterness of this impy. Lots of chocolate, tobacco, black licorice and slight hints of chocolate cherry. Fantastic. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
